Progress is being made. I am posting from my MBP now and not my iMac so the laptop itself is fine. However the battery appears to be toast. It says "no charging" and says "replace now" under condition and even with the battery in it says it's using the power adaptor.

However, the MBP will not power on with or without the battery using my power adaptor. I am using a friends and it runs with or without the battery using her adaptor. Did my battery and charger actually crap out at the same time or is there another problem I am missing?

Is there an Apple Reseller near your place? If so, you could possibly bring in your charger there and they can test it..

Does Best Buy count? Or are they going to be completely unhelpful? I think there is a dedicated Apple reseller outfit in town somewhere I can probably hit up on my way to school next week. Outside of that place the closest to me is a Best Buy (or a Future Shop, which is basically the same thing).
