HOW CAN THAT MAN MISTAKE THE BLOODY BALL FOR A HUMAN HEAD!:D:p

That happened after the match had stopped, so it was no mistake. A heavy tackle is one thing, that's assault and the police should get involved, there isn't one law off the pitch and one law on it. As Duncan Feguson found out.

West Ham have £110m debt.

"It makes no commercial sense to buy this club," said Sullivan after laying out the scale of West Ham's borrowing.

"If there was any other club in this situation, then we would not be buying it. We bought this as supporters, not from a business point of view."

:D

Sullivan, the porn dude, is just hilarious. They'll probably sort it out though, Birmingham were in a bad position and they've got them somewhere alright. Good luck to them I say.

And finally, tomorrow night sees the first leg of the FA Paint Trophy Area Final. Oooooo! Leeds fans are mightily excited . Two games away from a trip to Wembley though. And a pointless joke of a trophy.

You're going down!

*sigh* Who am I kidding? how are we supposed to beat anybody without strikers?

Well, from that perspective it's excellent news for Hammers fans - you always want an owner who is a fan. And I mean truly a fan, not just posing in front of the cameras in a scarf. The other alternative is an owner who is strictly doing business - like the Glazers and Hicks & Gillette. They are after money and investment, and don't actually care about the club, its history or its supporters.

Meanwhile — as the nature of West Ham's debt is revealed — Portsmouth have failed in their latest attempt to ward off the taxman. It's a pity Redknapp still isn't there, I'm sure he could have given them a few pointers.

What this means is that they've lurched closer to going into administation, and you have to say that the nine point deduction would make avoiding relegation a huge ask.

If it happens, they'll be the first Premier League club to go into administration. Not exactly the greatest advert for the self-styled 'richest league in the world', is it?

You have to feel for the Pompey supporters and also some of the reserve and youth squad guys who are not on big wages - when the club goes belly up they get the shaft.

Everybody wants to be Chelsea or Man City - but for every Chelsea there are dozens of Portsmouths and West Hams...and Liverpools and Man Uniteds...and Newcastles...etc etc :(

It's madness.

The good reserve and youth guys will be signed by other clubs.

Serves them right. Hope they get -9, get relegated, and disappear forever.

Ha! Wait, I didn't think you were a Southampton fan? ;)

:D

Just a fan of pretty much the first big club to go to the wall. We were hours away from not being a football club anymore, and nobody gave a ****. Pretty much every club in the football league voted against us having the -15 reduced to something less ridiculous. Every single football fan in the country was loving it. So to be honest, I couldn't care less if a club goes under anymore. Apart from some that are close to my heart (namely Crewe and a couple of lower league clubs).

In other news, Grayson has put out a surprisingly strong side for the visit of Carlisle tonight. Kisnorbo rested; Doyle & Becchio dropped (?). In comes Mike Grella (bit of interest for you US fans), Howson returns, and Bromby moves into the middle of defence with Crowe coming back at RB. Should be good.

Not this one.

He's a pillock.

I have to agree....pretty much the only club I'd REALLY care about would be Columbus....as for the big clubs in Europe (even Liverpool), well, they've made their beds so they'll have to sleep in them. Maybe football needs a few very high profile failures to happen again to make some changes to the rules. The Bundesliga has much more restrictive ownership rules but they are better for the clubs in the long run.

Not this one.

Fully in agreement there! I was going to add that exception to my earlier post...I doubt anyone will feel sorry for him.

EDIT: Setanta is carrying the big Carling Cup match over here, and I don't have that channel. Argh. Why must I buy 400 channels worth of satellite packages just to get the three that show football matches? :(

Dodgy penalty decision for Man City. Fergie's blood pressure must be near to explosive levels. Muwahahah!

What a disgusting penalty call for Citeh. The foul was well outside the box, Bellamy dived and the stupid ref obliged.

Bellamy also made a couple of dirty plays (popped Valencia in the face) and has no yellows to show for it. Beginning to really hate the guy.

Pretty intense match so far. Fun to watch at least.

And so much for Tevez' vow to not celebrating scoring against his old team.

I must say sm, you're getting rather excited over a 'pointless joke of a trophy'... ;)

:D

We desperately need a win to get out of this bad run of form. I'm pretty chuffed yeah.

And Man U have a dodgy penalty against them. I've never seen them get a dodgy decision in their favour so this is totally unfair. [/sarcasm]
