sgi

i hope they keep the current design as it is...

if not i would love something strokable like my ancient sgi 320 dual 450MHz :p

i like the current design. :D
frankly, i care more about the interior design. (cooling, space organisation..)
i wont buy the new one anyway

Apple take some pointers :p

Actually I think that looks like some kind of cheap toy computer. I know it's not, but Apple's design IMO is way superior to that.

A computer is not, nor should not be aerodynamic. It's silliness.

Take a look at the internals. That's what really matters, and SGI is better at it than Apple. ;) (Fewer cooling problems, and easy to swap components).

If I have to, I'll sacrifice "pretty" for a product that really does work, and will continue to work flawlessly without breaking down for 5 years or so. It's not too much to ask for a system sold as either a workstation or server IMO.

Well I agree with you there. I have no idea why PC components (and since mac us using intel MBs they are basically using the same stuff) have remained so poorly designed with regards to cooling. They don't even use natural convection - typically fighting against it.
