2010 was the year of the iPad and Verizon iPhone. So many leaks, rumors and stories. At least the iPad turned out to be true. This coming year will probably bring about the iPhone on another carrier either Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile. It's been over 3 years of being an AT&T exclusive the end must be near. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out in 2011.

I suspect that as Apple grows, the leaks will grow as well. They're fighting a losing battle when it comes to keeping everything top secret.

Indeed, it's really a waste of time and resources to be so secretive

Although it wasn't until he presenting the iPhone 4 himself that I was sold on the design... it had looked ugly in all the leaks but somehow seeing that man hold it made it look beautiful.

Good grief

Remember when the first pictures of the iPhone 4 appeared on Engadget?

I wonder how many of the posters in this thread who hated it and said it was a fake actually own one now?

Come on, own up if you're guilty. :D

so true. It wasn't apple enough in design then but it's now beautiful hahaha

Soo, basically everything was leaked.

And this is the same case for every other big tech release in the recent past, they will always be leaked.

It was the same design...

It's like the other guy/gal who admitted he/she thought it was ugly until Steve held it in his hands. Are you really that blindly loyal to a massively large (and greedy) American corporation? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with brand-loyalty, but holy smokes.

It's very amusing and I bet some of the posters are cringing now but it's nowhere near as funny as Thread 500. :D

As funny as that is, nothing can beat the legendary "no wireless, less space than a Nomad. Lame." from Cmdr Taco at Slashdot.

First glance doesn't always make the transformational changes obvious... but I was surprised at the initial reaction to the iPad.

not really even a leak as this was actually an official teaser sent out to sites, the arrival of Steam for Mac was one of the biggest 3rd party announcements in 2010.

You're forgetting there was a ton of information found in the beta (including OS X references and traffic light button images) before it was even teased.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.1; en-gb; Nexus One Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

iPhone 4 leak was huge at the time. I kind of hope for a less leaky iPhone 5 announcement as the iP4 leak took some of the excitement of the announcement of it for me.

Apple have put out some fantastic products in 2010 either way. Long may it continue!

Magic Trackpad

I wish that black magic trackpad was released, it looks awesome and imo there should be an option to have black aluminium macbooks etc.etc.

Also, the iPad in that pic is taller than the square-ish one that was actually released...hmm...

True lol

All you need to do is check what they've listed in their sigs, most who were dissing it and saying the design was very un-apple; now proudly state they own it lmao.

The best part about reading rumors or leaks here is how some posters will jump in and say 'No no no you all are dumb Apple will never design a product like that because (insert indepth knowledge of past product design/feature description)', only to be proven wrong later :D
