Common behavior

I talked to Genius yesterday about my problem and was able to demonstrate the beachballing issue in several applications. She said it is normal, all macbooks do the same , and that I should only worry about if it takes few minutes. They checked my HD – no problems, as I expected. I spent additional hour in the store and checked several macbooks. As you know, they have a huge selection. I found that ALL 2010 MBPs beachball when you start a new application. I checked i5, i7 with Seagate or Hitachi HDs. The beachballing is very long in MS office – around a minute or so. I also found that i7 machines are very irresponsive if you compare them with i5 or core2duo. (Are they really so slow?) However, I did not see beachballs in core2duo MBPs. I hope, Apple will fix this issue with 2010 MBPs in the new update.G
