I finally had a comfortable win this week, even with Miles Austin laying an egg at home. Thanks Macklin!
Are trades and player add/drops always this quiet in our league??

There's next to no talent on the waiver wire/FA market, especially at WR/RB.

But there was plenty of activity on available WRs. I've picked up quite a few WR "steals" thanks to the waiver/FA wire, and let go of a couple WRs based on bye week roster shuffling that were picked up by others. Roy Williams has done great for me since picking him up, and I picked up some solid depth in Johnny Knox (who I released at one point when Jay Cutler was knocked out). Also dropped Mike Thomas of the Jaguars, who I was sad to see was picked up when I had to do some roster shuffling. And then just yesterday I picked up Mike Williams of the Seahawks... even though as a Lions fan I'm skeptical of his actual fantasy relevance, but for some reason Pete Carroll is enamored with the guy. Must have Brett Favre-esque texts/pics of Pete Carroll...
The opportunities to find a diamond in the rough are still there, you just have to be willing to take a risk here or there.

No you're totally right (I especially like Knox going forward). I meant there's no talent as of right now. I can see maybe a couple exceptions (example: this is my only league in which Brandon Tate is still a FA), but in general there is no one i would want to run with.
Then again, I wouldn't listen to the last place 0-6 team, either!

Agreed! Aaron Hernandez and before IR Mark Clayton were some decent FA/waiver wire pick ups for me.
God I'm an idiot. Changed out Kenny Britt for Gaffney since he wasn't going to start, then missed my chance to put him back in as a starter. That's only 47 points I'm missing now.

As a Lions fan, I never really hated Roy Williams... trying to be like TO, without TO's talent? Maybe... but at least he was entertaining at times. But Jon Kitna? I've hated that guy from Day 1 as a Lion. Guaranteeing 10 wins, guaranteeing playoffs... that guy was just delusional, oh and thanks for that 0-16 season Jon. Now I have one more reason to hate you. You and me both and know he is starting for my favorite team. Ughhhhh. LOL.... I am hoping he at least wins a few for us. I have a feeling the Cowboys will be playing the third stringer before the season is over.

Great win barr08, though it pains me to lose. I just seem to be making all the wrong moves this year.
I was at the "Death star" for the game and it was pretty brutal. The fair weather folks weren't too nice to the bench; especially after that special teams flap. Let's go Ranger's chants were pretty much the only encouragement they got all day.
Yup you could hear them chanting it on the tv....... it was bad.. Still pulling for them thou!!!!! I sooo want to go to the new stadium!

Going to Jerryworld is quite an experience. I've been for a preseason game and a couple of other events hosted there. No matter how many times you see it the big screen is just insane. I still can't believe the Jonas Brothers played video games on it.
There's a few people on DFW craigslist selling game tickets cheap!
at fair weather fan's eh? lol...Otherwise I say you can go catch the HS playoff games there in 2 weeks and tickets are ALWAYS on the cheap. My first game at the Jerry-World last year was Flower Mound Marcus vs. Cedar Hill for $12 [then stayed for the Plano game].
