Always hurts to lose in the Super Bowl (especially when you have to watch it with a bunch of ditzy non-football watching girls who never shut up). Still, this sucks, but what can you do? Only one team's fans are happy at the end of the NFL season, and this year it wasn't us.

Still proud of my boys and all they accomplished this year. Hopefully we draft some defense and come back stronger.

Congrats, Giants fans.

Class act, Queen. :D

I'm not going to comment on the game until acidfast7 does. ;)

Wow, the Niners would have beat both these teams.

Hey Giants, don't forget to send a ring to Kyle Williams. Dead serious.

Too bad the niners didn't beat the Giants when they had the chance.:D

SF 17 NY 7 Williams 10.

Any NY fan knows it. Just plain disgusting. Like Patrick Willis said on Twitter, still not over it.

At least its FINALLLYY almost baseball season.

It's not Kyle Williams fault. A team loses as a team and not because of one play. They had plenty of chances to score more but didn't.

That's the game of football. Sometimes the ball bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't.

The Giants did what they had to do to win the game, period!!

Exactly...

Just like you can't blame the Ravens loss only on the kicker...or the Texans loss on Jacoby Jones.

The 49'ers had a chance to stop the Giants after the first turnover - and they didn't. They could have only given up a field goal - and they didn't.

Sometimes you just have to give the other team credit...and stop being a sore loser.

Well, considering I was born and raised in Boston, I grew up learning how to accept defeat gracefully until about 10 years ago. Heh heh.

I'm sure acidfast7 won't be around to stand up after all his smack talking. He's only one, though, so don't judge us all against his arrogance. I'm sure we'll get some Giants fans around here that haven't contributed a single post in this thread all season, but will get their chest bumping in just the same. There are those types for all teams.

Thankfully for my weary Pats fan self, my girlfriend was ready with a hug and a home remedy for the sports blues. In a week or so, it will suck a lot less and life goes on. ;)

I don't judge - Every team, especially ones that have seen recent success, has their obnoxious fans. Most of the Boston fans I know are almost as cool as NY fans - :D.

I'm a believer in treating other sports fans as you would want to be treated...your team isn't always going to win - so the nicer you are when they do, the less obnoxious people are going to be when they lose.

And let's be honest - the way your day ended, you are a winner.

That's real classy, pin it on one guy.

49ers didn't beat the Giants when it really mattered, and they don't have the big game mentality to win (yet).

Next season is going to be interesting. The Giants had one of the hardest schedules in the regular season, they had a preseason of problems and key injuries and to win it all is an absolute dream come true for me.

madonna is tone deaf.

well done giants. won the game and had the better looking kit.

final score at my house:

cajun wings 15 beers 3

also of note: elton john totally miscast as a "king" that pepsi commercial...

Pats - NY 24-21 with Vinatieri kicking the game-winner as time expires.

NY shouldn't even get on the bus!

lol.

that pats played their worst game of the season and got by the Ravens. I don't see the Giants playing anywhere near the level of the Ravens (the Giants are physically quite weak, especially on defense), so I think it will be quite easy for the Pats.

especially, after Brady having such a poor game, that never happens twice in a row.

in addition, Brady is still upset about the 18-1 season.

seriously, I wouldn't even get on the bus if I was the Giants.

oh lord, you've been drinking the kool-aid.

let's start with the giants coach staff.

you look at how they move over time, not the endpoint.

seriously, my prediction will hold as it did for the previous two Pats playoff games.

I can't tell if it's intentional or not, but you really sound like a farmer. Is this some kind of joke? Do you not understand statistics or sample size?

everyone was doing it and the league needed a scapegoat. pick the highest profile team and bust them, simple concept, repeated throughout the ages.

Still haven't won **** since caught cheating. :D

My apologies to real Patriots fans.

Really dude... give it rest good lord. SF didn't make it plain and simple. When the team fails to make key plays they don't win. As is the case with SF. Ha... sorry you didn't win and sorry you didn't make it to the super bowl.

Congrats Giants.

The game itself was boring.

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO

There is no Elite without Eli.

Eli is not what I would have called Elite like that other Manning who is the very definition of Elite when it comes to QBs. Peyton is the sport's best all time player and at least best all time QB. But with two wins over his brother's one win, Eli has an argument against all those yards the HoF bound Peyton has.

Eli could very well be the second best QB when he retires for his generation, behind, well Peyton. :) I am happy for Eli though but a few will always compare him in a bad light next to the great older brother.

good for the giants!

I don't think it's fair to bring Kyle Williams name to this at all.

So he fumbled - the giants still had to do what they needed to in order to win. Just like anything in life, sports requires a bit of luck somewhere. Doesn't matter if it's a championship game, the Superbowl or Week 1. It happens.

I think it's a great story for the Giants who pulled it together after a 4 game mid-season losing streak. They could have folded, but they didn't.

They deserve this victory.

As a Raiders fan (yes, bash me now! lol) - I actually jumped up on that last drive when Jason Tuck sacked Brady and yelled, "Now how does THAT TUCK FEEL!!!?!?" lol

Yes, I'm still absolutely bitter at the fumble...err...sorry...." tuck " from the 2001 "Snowbowl" which forever changed the destiny of the Pats. Yes, that 'tuck' for which the NFL changed the rule. I'll never forget watching Brady walk off the field, head hung low all dejected, not even bothering to argue b/c deep down he knew (and no doubt STILL KNOWS) it was nothing but a pure fumble and a great play by Woodson {sigh} lol ya, that play still hurts
and yes, I'm still whiny, but i'm right.

For the record, I've never hated Brady nor the Pats. I've always cheered against them in the 'Bowl, but I don't wish any other ill on them. I think they've been a great team over the years, but ya, I hate that ref and I'd sure like to check his banking history to find the payment from the Pats :) lol

So, good for the Giants. They played well and didn't give up.

You can't ask for anything else from any team.

Oh and I thought Madonna was fantastic. So what if she lip-synced for most of the show - acoustics suck and with 100+ mill ppl watching, i'm sure the NFL wants a perfect show (although MIA screwed that up a bit). I think her and Cee Lo Green sang their last bit? btw, I'm worried for Green. I didn't realize he was so big. He needs to hit a treadmill very soon before he has a heart attack...scary! That's not judging either - just worried for a fellow human. He's pretty big for his height. :(

Madonna showed that at 53, she is and will always be the Queen of Pop.

Cheers,
