philipma1957 macrumors 604 Aug 18, 2011 #4 there are tests on site. the 2.66 c2d mini does a 10min cartoon of big buck bunny in 22 minutes the 2.4 c2d takes 24 min the 2.3 does it in 13 min if it has enough ram. 4gb at least. IIRC

L lilsoccakid74 macrumors 6502 Aug 18, 2011 #5 as far as c2d vs i5, you cant use clock speed for much because the i5 runs MUCH faster per clock than an old c2d.
