Greetings, recently I received a modded iMac with Monterey installed via OCLP.
Specs:
I7 2600
Nvidia GTX770m with Nick[d] vbios
20GB DDR3 RAM - (8+4+4+4)
1TB HDD
256gb SSD
I suspect the rest of the specs remain the same.
The main problem I had was no WiFi and since I had no idea how to use OCLP I just decided to wipe the Mac and install win10. The reason for this was simple, I have read somewhere that WiFi card can be tricky even with patches because of its age, but it has better support in Windows. I did try to fix router first, but no admin setting helped. So I just made win10 22h USB installer via Rufus and basically just installed it. During partition selection I have erased everything, so nothing except windows is there. First boot, I see windows setting up screen, lang choice, etc.
I have connected to WiFi and on login screen got BSOD with stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Source: igdkmd64.sys
In addition iMac can't restart and use hibernation(which I am not surprised of) but in addition after turning off, it struggles to turn on - only replugging the power cord makes the trick.
Important note: I didn't install drivers via Brigadier or raw Bootcamp at first, and I tried troubleshoot using forums and ChatGPT, disabled Intel HD Graphics in several ways. Also I used my Win11 PC and Rufus to build USB installer.
I wonder what can I do to make win10 stable. Should I reinstall it with additional patches, EFI partitions on that USB? Or should I go back to Monterey by building OCLP installer?
