I'm one of the many. I want to get back to gaming on my next computer and while I know mac mini isn't really meant for it, I'm pretty sure it could work. I have a few options if Apple uses a HD3000:
1. Stick with it, be satisfied with lower end graphic performance. It's not as if I can afford a fancy screen anyway so low resolutions shall be plenty.
2. Dish out a few more bucks for an iMac with seperate GPU (if that's not standard on the cheapest one I will surely be unable to afford it)
3. Get an uglier windows machine/hackintosh that soaks up space. I'm very happy with OSX though, and I'm not really looking forward to building a hackintosh. Plus I don't want to get lost in all the different components/options/etc.
4. Get one of the more expensive Dell Zino's and suffer from slower CPU's, but a better GPU. Small, not as ugly as other PC's, but still no Apple.
Another thing I personally like about Mac Mini's is their lower power consumption.
