Keyboards have warnings printed on their backs - but only in the US - because people start all sorts of crazy lawsuits, and sometimes a judge agrees with them.

I sometimes feel that my fingers get sore. Working for several hours straight is just not very healthy, even if it's just office work, and not carrying stones up a hill. Take breaks and exercise your fingers :)

Similar symptoms

I have similar symptoms. The pain starts from the moment I touch a mac trackpad. I have touched brand new macs and old ones, they are the same. It is very painful and I have to use an external mouse. You're not alone!

You are not alone!!!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! I experience the same thing - like an internal burning sensation in the pads of my fingers when I use the trackpad of my Macbook Pro. I'm wondering if it's not the iron particles in blood interacting with a magnetic field produced by the trackpad. I Googled this and found that MANY others experience the same thing. No problems when using a mouse, but noticeable pain is produced in the pads of any fingers being used on the trackpad. Even holding my fingers over the trackpad without touching it will result in noticeable discomfort in the pads of my fingers.

I was wondering whether other people experienced the same thing, namely:
When I use the trackpad for longer periods (several hours surfing the web), I get painful fingertips, like there some electric current going through my fingers via the trackpad.
Anyone suffering from the same symptoms?

Interesting. I don't like using the trackpad for long periods of time because the knuckles in my middle finger get sore from clicking. I've never heard of this though.

I've been using Macs for 7+ years. This year I had the same experience after working many hours and using the trackpad on my MacBook Pro. It feels exactly as you describe it, as if my fingers are burning -

It also happens now when I use my phone. It's extremely uncomfortable. I don't think it's just "nerve damage" since the experience is different when touching other surfaces with my fingertips. Have you found a solution?
