went to the apple store today. swapped out the computer, and the backlight issue is no more. 😀

This is how my 17" screen is in the dark with a black background and background light turned all the way up. Is this normal? Doesn't bother me unless the screen is very dark. The photo is taken with my IP4. It is lying a bit, the color shouldn't be blue.

This has happened to me twice. I sent TWO back...for the backlighting issue (plus the first one that was DENTED in shipping). I have had it for a bit. The customer service was great. But for TWO having the same issue... for 3 grand, this is unacceptable! It was over the last three weeks. So, maybe there IS a crappy batch? Mine was CTO from china. 17", anti-glare screen. I wonder if that is the issue, the antiglare screen, less solid/strong?!?!? What do you all think? So frustrating for a life long APPLE supporter/user. 😡
