Prepared for Shipment

Mine also changed to Prepared for Shipment overnight also. I'm in San Diego. Ship date is 6/15, delivery is 6/20. Ordered on May 3, 2011 at 07:32 AM PDT

I just checked my credit card and Apple has charged the purchase.

I'm excited just to hear the first impressions of the first round of owners. I just ordered mine, so I won't get it until mid July.

Hey there!

When did you order?

That might give an indication possibly.

I've just had an update and delivery should now be BY WEDNESDAY ... getting better (but still quietly hoping for tomorrow - it's happened before!) :D

I ordered on Tuesday May 10th. :)
I really hope it'll get to me by next Wednesday cause I'll be gone from next Thursday till Monday.

Oh no!

The order status page is down for me! I wonder if the plane has crashed into Apple Irelands HQ and taken out the online store and our iMacs. :p

Sadly, it's very hard to tell as there isn't really any proper tracking going on other than a couple of peeps who have iMacs stuck at Shanghai Airport.

You never know your luck :)

MacBoobsPro .... I nearly wet myself then at the thought .. someone came in to my office to find out whether I was having a seizure

The Apple Customer Relations person I spoke to said about the order that she's "all over it" .... hopefully not literally ;)

It's down for me too ... might be good news ... might be bad news .... most likely it'll be NO NEWS

Awesome ... it's reading things like that, that makes me so excited to boot it up for the first time and run Aperture, Photoshop and AutoCAD ... ALL AT ONCE

I suspect I'm just not going to believe the speed

Hi DJHack, it seems the stuff is still in China:
08 Jun 2011 21:33:29 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.
07 Jun 2011 20:26:59 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.
07 Jun 2011 20:05:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
07 Jun 2011 19:39:41 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
07 Jun 2011 19:20:59 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Sender.

Looks like our iMacs have only "stand-by seats" - one after another plane leaves without having them on board. Hopefully they find a place in tonights flight to Europe!

:( Flippin' Chinese customs know doubt :(

Release our Macs ... we promise we'll be good

I know ... it's becoming a job to keep on top of all the things to refresh ... maybe :apple: is refreshing the online store to say "All iMacs will be delivered tomorrow with free stuff because we're all so patient" ;)

Either that or they do think they're under attack ... from JuneCloud delivery apps :D

Ah bugger it ... i'll give it another refresh and see what happens ...

Good attitude. Last Christmas my Macbook Air showed an estimated delivery of Dec. 22 and it arrived in mid-January. Relax and enjoy the anticipation.
I've enjoyed enough of the anticipation for the last 5 weeks. Now I'm ready to enjoy my new iMac. :D Make it hurrrrrryyyyyy.

Do we have any trending on how long from when an iMac moves from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped" and tracking becomes available? One day, two days, etc?

I think my previous experience on on iMac's and MacBook's from China has been anywhere from 1-5 days.

Ordered mine May 12... Glad to see we have movement on the US side for May 3 orders. Does this mean tomorrow will be May 4th orders, the next day May 5 orders, and so on? Hmmm... Must refresh more!!!

Also curious if those who are shipping follow any pattern in terms of their BTO specs. Is that spreadsheet still in decent shape or have the trolls junked it up at this point?

It's great to get caught up in the anticipation and fun and rumouring though ... Passes the time :)

The email I had (one of many ) suggests that carrier info will be available within 5 working days. I got that yesterday so am guessing Tuesday for carrier & Weds for delivery ...

I just wish it was tomorrow :D

Very good point! I think, for those who's been naughty and forgotten (like me:eek:), we should all enter our actual ship dates on MrFoof's excellent spreadsheet.

Might give us and definitely will help the next waves, understand any patterns?

Just a thought :)

Don't get too excited - I ordered May 3rd, 20 minutes after the page was up and I have had no change in status (Canada).

I did look at the specs of the European shipped iMacs (lucky ducks!) and there were both 1 and 2 TB HD's + SSDs; but I think everyone on the sheet has i7's and maxed out video cards.

Would LOVE for it to arrive before next weekend, but I've waited this long (barely)...:p

Haven't figured out how I'm going to do the Lion upgrade over a 250MB max per day internet though... Think I'll stay with SL for a while.

No change in my order status either, also in Canada. Guess it wouldn't be Canada if Apple didn't shaft us just a bit more than usual eh?

I'm sure Pipper99 some of us will be posting our thoughts on here as soon as we can get our hands on them :)

Yes, I'm almost as excited to read the first "I got mine, and it's awesome!" post as I am to get mine. Well, maybe not quite that excited... :)

Talked with Apple Rep this morning...Within several weeks all individuals that have ordered 27 inch Imacs with HHD/SSD from the Online Apple Store and paid for them on or after June 6th ( which is all of us) will receive an email from Apple giving links leading to free Lion! About other macs or situations I didn't ask. Mine ordered May 15th with ship date of June 29th and delivery July 1

That's really great news!

Love free stuff ... Especially after this wait and it's from :apple:

:D
