2011 Thunderbolt iMac w/ SSD Shipment Tracker

At the risk of cross polluting posts I would be interested to know if any of the people who just received their macs have experienced yellow screen issues?

Might as well get myself worried before it even arrives 🙂

(I hope for get the Lion DVD inside the box and outside in the box-pictures 😀 but I think it's difficult....)

Otherwise you will be very disappointed! In case you don't know - Lion is only being released via the Mac App Store - no DVDs at all 🙄

People are getting some success though potentially getting free downloads once it is released in July sometime.

DJHack 😉 I would only the Lion pictures on the box, just for be more beauty 😀 ...maybe this is possible, anyway i don't care. Yes I know about the free update for the order placed after 6 june. But if there isn't the dvd how i can boot for hardware test/repair disk etc?

Shhhhh .... do not mention plane crashes ... I'd have a breakdown 😉

You won't need a disk to boot (although there are ways of creating boot disks/keys/sd cards etc) as it will create a small, separate partition on your drive which will be protected should anything go wrong with the main version.

Sounds clever ... just hope it is 🙂

So it would seem that basically my stalking opportunities are limited to when it's in Euro airspace?

Both yesterday and today's flights do not show up as actually leaving Shanghai but suspect that this isn't necessarily correct - just that info from out there is restricted/limited 😕

Oh well ... I will continue to stalk Euro-Airspace 🙄

Not obsessed or anything 😉

I am so jellous right now, I still don't have any change on my status. The only bit of news that is giving me hope right now for an earlier delivery, was the fact that I'd finally rang Apple any a few minutes back and while taking to the apple rep, she had said the yesterday apple had run a payment check on the card. So to me this could mean that they have started processing the order...

Hey and being in Aus, delivery may be quick...😀

Btw, anyone seen a or knows were to find a complete list of the 250 new features in Lion. One I am hoping for is the better support for separating the user's data and allowing for it to sit on another volume. One that will support boot options into your account even if the volume that the user data fails on. This could easily be achieved be the Os detecting an issue and creating a temerary user directory. I mean a similar feature has been around for a while in window, well with domain accounts anyway.

As for installing Lion when it is released, I am not sure if I will or not..

Anyway, excitement has now officially kicked in.... Common iMac

A perfect, I had not thought about it 😱 And start the mac with Enter key hold should prompt you from where you would start! Also much simpler than search the dvd and start from it (and it's also slow and noisy)

It is cool, nice to see some fun coming from what is basically a frustrating thread, wish I could have followed mine like this ( I have a tracking number for a 21' SSD+HD, ordered May 27th, a delivery scheduled tomorrow but haven't been told the carrier).

There's hope ... I have heard stories of the carrier info only being updated when it's actually 'out for delivery' perhaps only an hour or two from your doorstep!

Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow 🙂

To be fair, we don't even know whether ours are on this flight but it's a fun distraction from the waiting 😀

I start to wonder what we will do once our iMacs have arrived - get the blues just like many people do after Christmas? 😉 Oh, but then we could actually waste time with the iMac rather than with waiting for it. 😀

Refreshed the moment i wanted to take a screenshot.

I hope mine is on that flight aswell.

Ordered ith a retailer and don't have any info on when it is going to be delivered. Ordered May 12. Belgium.
