No not at all. Technology you buy is always out if date the minute you get it. If I bought this years model, it wouldn't do anything different than the one I own.
If you need a machine, buy one. If not wait.

I just received my refurbished iMac on Wednesday with following specs:

27 Inch
Intel Core I7 3.4GHZ
16 GB Ram
GTX 680MX 2MB
3 TB fusion drive

Price 2,289.00

If I was to send back my computer for a refund the new one would cost me for same config:

$2,799.00

I have decided to keep the refurbished one as savings is over $500.00.

Yeah, I regret it...

Yes, I definitely regret it.

I purchased the base 27" iMac on 08/01/13 because I just needed a new machine. I play games occasionally, mostly Civ 5, and could have used the graphics upgrade of the new one. Everything else is really a marginal upgrade in my opinion.

When the new one came out I was only 20-some days beyond a return period. Not to mention I've been having some HDD issues.

Oh well, I guess it is what it is... I regret buying it but don't "blame" Apple as some people do. I don't feel cheated, just had crappy timing. I wish there was something I could do to get the new one instead.
