Im not in favor of it, since I like competition, but if my teams GM puts us in position to add a couple of superstars, I should be against it? So Rockets fans should have petitioned the team to not go after Howard? When was the last time a team one a title with one star player, and a bunch of nobodies? LeBron almost did it with the Cavs, but he had absolutely no help, and got killed by the Spurs.

The city and the team go hand in hand in regards to parity. If you have the Bucks for example, trying to sign the same player the Heat, for example, are, at the same contract amount, which team is that player going to pick? NOBODY wanted to play with LeBron in Cleveland, that was a well known fact. Have you been to Cleveland? I wouldnt want to be a professional player on a long term deal there. He didnt go to Miami to "fix the NBA," he went there because that was the best opportunity for him, and his family. Which is what every free agent looks for.

LeBron is not going to LA, lets get that out on the table. LeBron will either stay with Miami, or go back to Cleveland, that is all. My money is on Miami, because they have the best president/GM in the game, works well with Spoelstra, and the team will be able to retool around his needs.

And you keep bringing up collusion? Where is the collusion? Were you with these three players when they talked about joining the Heat? Bosh and Wade were meeting together when they were both free agents, so I dont see any collusion there.

In the long run, I think the NBA is fine and the salary cap will eventually bring the Heat back down to earth. I would assume Bosh is gone soon seeing as the luxury tax is so expensive for repeat offenders. If the Heat have brains, they'll let Wade walk, too.

It's really a matter of whether or not the Spoelstra/James relationship is strong enough. By the time Jordan was at LBJ's level in his career, it was apparent he really was only interested in playing for Phil Jackson. I can't see LBJ going anywhere except MI, LA (they will build whatever team he wants there, luxury tax or no luxury tax), or CLE. Advantage, Miami.

Miami is not the only destination that will get hit with taxes. There are a lot of teams in the league that are going to get hit with the tax, eventually.

As far as Wade and Bosh are concerned, if both come back, I expect them to take less than the max, again. Wade is not a max player anymore, and if he expects that, then I would let him walk. The big three took less than the max to make this work the first time, and I wouldnt be surprised to see them do it again.

Miami is going to have a lot of cap space after this season as well, and they can add virtually anyone they want, to go along LeBron. Plus, Arison is willing to pay the tax, evident by this season, so Riles will do what is best for LeBron. What I think happens...LeBron re-signs, as does Wade and Bosh, those two for less, and they hold off until the season after next, where they have a chance to go after Love. Im sure Riles has been working hard on what he wants to build there, and from what I have read so far, he is in LeBron's ear hard about the future.

MCW = RoY??

So far! Long way to go. Though this rookie class is extreeeemely weak, so he certainly stands a good chance.

I'm surprised by how well he is doing right out the gate, but I am more surprised by the Sixers having 3 wins already. And beating the Heat no less! I had them picked as one of the bottom 2-3 teams in the league. They still could be, but they don't look tooooo bad so far.

Pacers are looking good! Glad I was able to scoop up Paul George on my fantasy team!

Bulls and Heat are looking kinda 'bleh' so far.

Them oooold, slow Spurs are off to an 8-1 start!

Sixers are leading their division?? I had them winning less than 10 games all year.

I'm in second to last place in my fantasy league

Why? Because I drafted
- Tyson Chandler
- Larry Sanders
- Andrew Bynum
- Greivis Vasquez
- Patrick Beverley

Knicks trying to get Rondo by giving up Amare, Iman, and Felton. Would be interesting to see a Rondo-Melo combo.

That's a joke of an offer. Are they serious? Amar'e can't get to the hoop because of the gigantic fork sticking out of his back, Felton enjoys NY Pizza way too much, and Shumpert has never averaged more than 9PPG playing at a non-premium position.

I mean, seriously, that's hilarious. That's a Lakers-level offer.

Lol, I agree with you. NYK have to sweeten the offer, but I really can't think of anyone else they could give up.

NYK is saddled with Amare's ridiculous contract, so they really can't do anything without getting rid of him.

Ouch! As a WI native and Bucks fan, the Larry Sanders issue has me particularly frustrated. I thought the Bucks were poised for a 40-45 win season and a bottom rung playoff berth. WRONG, lol. Oh well, it's a good year to tank in the NBA. :)

I'm hovering right around the middle of the pack in my fantasy league now. It's a roto league and I've never done the roto scoring before so I'm still trying to get a feel for how to set up my roster to capitalize on that scoring system.

At least you're not a Jazz fan ;)

I'd take Shumpert as an on-ball defender. No clue what's up with his knee but he was one of my favorite rookies to watch when he entered the league. Amare = worst contract in the NBA IMO

Fact. Whenever I think of worst league contracts, I always think of Bynum's contract with Philly last year...$15mil, didn't play a single minute, traded at the end of the year, lol.

I also read this article a while back and got a kick out of it...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-he-could-have-worst-nba-contract-of-all-time

It's too bad because I really used to like Arenas too. Man he fell off in a hurry.

I was shocked when I found out Amar'e doesn't start. He's an even worse signing than Carlos Boozer.

At this point he's just so fragile that they can't start him. I think he's probably getting 10-15 minutes a game? Rockin a max contract. Ridiculous. I would say Amare and Carmelo are probably my two least favorite guys in the NBA...maybe in all of sports. I've never been able to stand either one...and the Knicks sign them both. Carmelo is the worst 27 PPG you can have on your team.

I've never been a Knicks "fan", but it'd be nice to see a franchise like that return to relevance some day. The mismanagement of that franchise over the last 10 years has been insane.
