Did I miss something with the Transcend JetDrive 820??? When did this happen?!?!?!

3D TLC NAND, PCIe gen 3 x2 with "up to 950 MB/s read and 950 MB/s write", in 250/500/1,000 GB flavors

Obviously a bit slower on 2015 models than the factory SSD, but any words on pricing? I've only seen pre-order pricing, which obviously is sometimes inaccurate. This might make the 128 GB model 2013-15 MBPs a much better buy for those needing more capacity...

A bit slower? 2015 15" MBPs do 1800+ MBps. Not surprising since those are 4 channel modules and these are 2 channel.

It's all relative once you get above SATA3 :p

But if you need more storage, but can get a 128 GB model 2015 MBP13 for a killer good price (which is a damned fine computer) and absolutely need more capacity, going from 1800 MB/s to 950 MB/s might be justifiable.

It looks like this model uses 3D Micron TLC NAND and a Silicon Motion controller, for those interested.
