Hi All, could someone help me out?

I've got 2013 MBA (1.8GHZ i5) and it performs fine for everything that I need but I am thinking about an upgrade.

I really like the form factor of the 2017 MacBook - my question is will I get at least the same performance out of the 2017 MacBook as I do from my 2013 MacBook Air?

Thanks

I don't think the performance will be any worse as you are getting a much faster ssd and ssd interface, updated processor, updated graphics, and a retina screen.

A con for some people is the lack of ports on the new Macbook.

Did this three days ago. Couldn't be happier. So much lighter, thinner and quicker with noticeably better screen. Keyboard now much improved. Really makes MacAir 11” look and feel like an old clunker. Bigger screen in smaller body. Strongly suggest taking one out for a test drive at least. You might also consider getting the coming Vinpok Bolt USB-C magnetic cable to go with it. I'm set for now me thinks.

What you make up for in better screen and lightness you will lose in keyboard and the dongle life. Your call.

Like it or not if you want an Apple laptop that is the future, not the MacAir. Really miss the mag-safe connection as well as the LED lights though. Knocked it off the couch already (less than 3 days old).
