Yeah I saw that. Very good deal.
I'm in the market for a 15" and can't decide if I want the new 15" without the dGPU or that one from Adorama.

Get this one. The new MBP (2015) Iris Pro is the same as the Iris Pro in this.

The ForceTouch feature honestly is not a big deal and the new AMD GPU is not a big jump from this. Save your money. Also the new MBP has a better SSD, but is 800MB that slow for ya? :)

The new refreshes later next year will probably be thinner and have better CPU and GPUs....but CPU's don't take big jumps anymore so....I really doubt Apple is going to go to nVidia and put a 960m or something...

That's why its worth getting this one.

Even if they redesign it next year, the performance is not going to be that big of a jump and maybe the laptop will be thinner with a new keyboard.

Heres a sweeter deal.

http://www.adorama.com/als.MVC/nspc...m=Email&utm_campaign=AdoramaOrderConfirmation

Use "APINSIDER" during ch
well you're getting more than just force touch for that $600ish

Like what...a faster PCIe SSD and an upgraded GPU? I don't see that being worth $600 imo when in fact it still uses an old gen CPU.

If Apple used Broadwell in the refresh, $600 would maybe make sense...but cmon can you tell the difference between a 700MB/sec SSD and a 1200MB/sec SSD? How much faster is the new AMD GPU? Maybe 5-15%?

This is all well and good but when you try to add it to the cart it says it's only available to vip members. How do you become a vip?

Edit: seems like it's just a matter of registering on their web site.

You guys have to add 2 items (free) into the bundle before you check out and apply the code. It will come to 2150-200 rebate. You will also have 3 year apple care.

Thanks for the tip, just ordered one. Was going to get the Mid-2015 dGPU model but decided that it's not worth $700 more to me than this machine.

Tried that first, no go. It wouldn't say 'can't apply promo code' but the page reloads and price is still the same.
I ain't biting.

When you're on the page, on the lower right side there's a button to add 2 items to the bundle. I got the eve drive and usb hub. After I added those free 2 items, i added it to the cart and went to check out and applied the coupon. It worked. If you don't apply the 2 free items it won't let you apply. It works sometimes it doesn't. Try a different browser.

I had the two free items in cart and it didn't work.

No biggie, I went a different route. I won an auction on ebay for a mid 2014 same as the one from Adorama.
Two battery cycles, bought on April 9, 2015. I checked the serial number on Apple's website and it has the 3 year Apple care till April 2018. Seller didn't know that :D
$1675 for a two month old mid 2014 with Applecare and only two battery cycles is a good deal to me.
Now I just hope it is what he says it is. :D

Good deal.

I am hesitant to by from Ebay as I am burned a few times. How can you make sure the Mac is not stolen and flagged by Apple or that the product is what it is advertised? Did you get the serial from seller?

He has been selling on ebay for many years and has over 400 transactions. I looked at his other listings and what he has sold before. 100% feedback rating too so I feel confident.
I have been buying and selling on ebay since 2004 with almost 600 transactions and never had a bad one as a buyer or as a seller. I am careful who I buy from.
And yes, he sent me the serial number which is also posted on one of the pictures in the listing.
