God i hope they don't mess with the keyboard.

They'll probably add the new thinner one from the 12" MacBook Pro. Apple usually learns new things from other products and applies and perfects to older lines upon refreshes and vice versa. I have a feeling the redesign is going to be pretty thin and still retain the portability and the size and speed with a better iGPU and dGPU and of course Skylake. But I think they will go Broadwell soon and then update to Skylake since the architectures are in the same 14nm process.

FYI for anyone else, Adorama is a good retailer. They're competitors to B&H and B&H is a superb company.

You guys have to add 2 items (free) into the bundle before you check out and apply the code. It will come to 2150-200 rebate. You will also have 3 year apple care.

Total 1950
I just tried to buy it using the code and it did not change the price. I added the 2 free items (well the DVD drive was $2.00 and the External HD was $24.99 but they were still part of that bundle) and I tried use the code APINSIDER and it did not change the price. It is listing my total at $2399.99 + $2.00+ $24.99 for a total of $2426.98. That does not include the $200.00 mail in rebate. I tried using both Safari and chrome to see if that would help but the price still stays the same. Please help!!!

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't maybe they finally disabled the deal...try it again at 9AM ET.

I ordered one yesterday at the regular sale price and added apple care separately. I called first thing this morning about the coupon code... I called the store and the first sales person I talked to said that customer service is the only ones that can apply the coupon, so I got transferred. The first customer service person I spoke to, I asked if they can either adjust the price of my order from yesterday or if I had to order it again today and cancel the old one. They said to said to go ahead and place a new order even though the coupon code is not changing the price and they could then manually change the price. So that is what I did. Then when I asked them to change the price they said that it takes about 30 minutes to show up in their system and that I had to call back in 30 mins... I called back and the customer service rep said that they can't change it manually, it can only be done at the time of purchase. (the exact opposite as the last person told me) So I asked for a supervisor, they said they will have to contact the IT dept and have them adjust the price and they would call me back in less than an hour. Of course I am still waiting for the call back. In the meantime, I called the store back and got the same person that I placed my order with yesterday and he said that by adding the 2 free items were what was causing the coupon not to change the price, that if I wanted the "apinsider" price I can't get the 2 free items. I rather have the cheaper price. I didn't really care about the free items. so he adjusted my price on my order I placed with him yesterday. I am sure he did it because he did not want to lose the sale by me reordering it online. So hopefully now it all works out correctly.

You have a lot patience to go through all that. I would have just cancelled the order and probably never deal with them again. I don't tolerate incompetence.

And I tried it with and without the free items and it didn't work.

FINALLY!!!! I got the code to work. So I now have the 2 free items and the bundle of the computer and the apple care together. It took the woman in customer service to send me a link for it to work. She also then cancelled the order I placed over the phone with the store where the guy said that I did not get the 2 free items and she cancelled full price order that they said that they would be able to manually change (that they couldn't). Now I just have to be patient and wait for my new macbook pro to be delivered. This is where I become very impatient. I hate waiting for things

FYI, my order changed to "backordered" status over the weekend even though it said the machine was in-stock when I placed the order (their website still shows it as in-stock, actually).

I just spoke with Adorama and apparently it is NOT in stock at the moment, but they will be getting them in next week. I'm not too bothered by it since I don't need the machine immediately, but if you do then it might be best to skip this one.

I was also told that they are backordered until next week. Lets hope that is true :) and not longer

This is a great deal. I bought my exact same model from B&H on 5/14/15 for $2299. When I saw this price, I asked B&H if they would be able to price match that since I was within my 30 days price guarantee this weekend, and unfortunately, not with the rebate - although I was able to price match it to their current $1999 price. Really wish I could've gotten it for $1799, but a $300 refund to match $1999 ain't too shabby either :)

There are a few credit cards that offer price protection if you find your item cheaper they will reimburse you.

I also called B&H to see if they would price match it and they told me no that it is below their cost.

When there's a will there's a way :)

This is old stock Apple has given to some authorized dealers. So it seems that B&H was not included in the $200 rebate category.

Heres a sweeter deal.

Like what...a faster PCIe SSD and an upgraded GPU? I don't see that being worth $600 imo when in fact it still uses an old gen CPU.

If Apple used Broadwell in the refresh, $600 would maybe make sense...but cmon can you tell the difference between a 700MB/sec SSD and a 1200MB/sec SSD? How much faster is the new AMD GPU? Maybe 5-15%?

The benchmarks put the new dGPU at 50% -80% faster and the new SSD's clock in at over 2GB/sec, so yes if you get the dGPU version it is a significant upgrade.

The Skylake processors have been leaked as only 4% faster than their Haswell equivalents and the broadwell ones are not much faster either. Processor wise it makes little difference these days all you get is a bit better battery life and slightly better integrated graphics.

The only thing that skylake will improve will be the iGPU in the IRIS graphics where the dual core skylake U series looks to 64MB of eDRAM like it's bigger counterpart the IRIS PRO which currently has 128MB.

My order was just charged and changed from pending to processing. I had to call them because my card was initially declined due to Amex thinking it was a possible fraud. So after I called Amex to tell them it was a legit charge, I had to call Adorama so they could rerun my card and they said that it would ship today.

I got an email at around 6PM Eastern that mine has shipped.

Still not worth $700 imo. The 750m is great for what it does.
