...And now he's on the DL.
That would be 4/5 of the rotation...
Too bad there's no new crying emoticon.

Tino, Posada, Rivera, Pettitte.I am wondering who is sitting to the right of Torre? Is that Cone? Can't tell. I know the rest are Posada, Mo, and Pettitte the rest of the Core 4.
http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/sto...ad-exemption-testosterone-boosting-substance?Commissioner Bud Selig maintains that Major League Baseball had no idea Alex Rodriguez received a medical exemption from the sport's drug administrator to use a testosterone-boosting substance in 2007.
"We did not know about it at the time," Selig said Tuesday before the All-Star Game during the commissioner's annual meeting with the Baseball Writers' Association of America. "These independent people made a judgment. History proved them I guess it turned out to be somewhat wrong, but they were outstanding doctors."
They should have given it to Michael Jeter.Wait a second..... They give Mo the MVP last year who really didn't do much to earn it, but a nice gesture for his career. This year Jeter actually did something to earn it, but Trout gets the MVP?
Jeter had to request not to be named MVP before hand because he absolutely deserved the same gesture Mo got.

There is no way last night would've been a Jeter retirement party if he was the shortstop of the Marlins or Padres for the past 20 years. Not to discount what he's done or anything, but Jeter this and Jeter that got old after about the 3rd inning.
Plus Jeter has also been the ambassador for the game for the past 15 years. He is not some no named player that hung around for 20 years.Perhaps and I'm no yankees fan but he has many championships under his belt, and stayed with the same organization through out his career - a rare feat in todays professional sports.
I have no problem with the adulation he's getting - coming from a red sox fan.
