...And now he's on the DL.

That would be 4/5 of the rotation...

Too bad there's no new crying emoticon. :(

I was going to say they should DL him anyway to get him extra rest on top of the AS break.

Now it is a matter of if the injury is serious.

Pretty cool commercial respecting Jeter. Nice touch on censoring the Mets. ;)

That is one amazing commercial from the one team I always root against. Whether it's because of jealousy or the usually correct chest beating Yankee fans and all their championships, there's no denying NYY and he's the last of the super heroes in the mold of Reggie, Yogi, DiMaggio, and Ruth. I guess the rest of us wish we had somebody like that on our team. I have to show this to my Manhattan born NYY wife.

It's fitting that MJ was in the commercial.

I am wondering who is sitting to the right of Torre? Is that Cone? Can't tell. I know the rest are Posada, Mo, and Pettitte the rest of the Core 4.

What a joke of a commissioner Selig is.
Commissioner Bud Selig maintains that Major League Baseball had no idea Alex Rodriguez received a medical exemption from the sport's drug administrator to use a testosterone-boosting substance in 2007.

"We did not know about it at the time," Selig said Tuesday before the All-Star Game during the commissioner's annual meeting with the Baseball Writers' Association of America. "These independent people made a judgment. History proved them I guess it turned out to be somewhat wrong, but they were outstanding doctors."

Was hoping Jeter would pull a Ripken, but a double was good enough. :)

Nice to see Cano is still a free swinger after swinging at those horrible pitches.....

Wait a second..... They give Mo the MVP last year who really didn't do much to earn it, but a nice gesture for his career. This year Jeter actually did something to earn it, but Trout gets the MVP?

Jeter had to request not to be named MVP before hand because he absolutely deserved the same gesture Mo got.

They should have given it to Michael Jeter. ;)

Ha. Saw that fail.

Also want to know how that douchebag who chanted overrated right before Jeter got that double reacted after that double.

While a lot of people thought Jeter didn't deserve to be in the ASG, he performed pretty well tonight with a great stop and going 2-2 even with Wainwrights controversial comment about grooving a pitch for him to hit.

There is no way last night would've been a Jeter retirement party if he was the shortstop of the Marlins or Padres for the past 20 years. Not to discount what he's done or anything, but Jeter this and Jeter that got old after about the 3rd inning.

Perhaps and I'm no yankees fan but he has many championships under his belt, and stayed with the same organization through out his career - a rare feat in todays professional sports.

I have no problem with the adulation he's getting - coming from a red sox fan.

Plus Jeter has also been the ambassador for the game for the past 15 years. He is not some no named player that hung around for 20 years.

We are in the AL east. Nobody is dead yet, not even the Rays.

The Yankees are done. Tanaka was the one hope they had of hanging on, and he'll need TJ surgery. They should just do it now and start the rehab.
