First let me say I was completely wrong. I thought Carolina was going to destroy the Broncos - as usual I was wrong and this why I don't bet on teams :p

Yeah, it was awful, though Bruno Mars was better imo. In fact he saved the show from being a total disaster. I don't get why they had Beyonce, she was on a half time show before and she was awful, they brought her back and she did no better. I don't get her dance moves, or her singing. I'd say Bruno Mars was much better. Coldplay was just plain boring - as much as they tried, I just didn't feel the energy from their show, nor could I hear him singing - bad sound setup I guess.

I actually thought it was going to be a shoot out at firs when Broncos marched down the field and scored first.

Completely, He's making millions and upon millions, he was a sore loser. I can understand all the dancing and celebrating but man up when it doesn't go your way.

I'm not Manning fan, but congrats and I hope he goes out on top. Nothing is sadder then watching a old super star trying to retain what he once had in his youth. Brett Farve comes to mind. Sometimes its better to walk away with class and dignity and also with less risk of head injuries. The stuff about CTE leading up to the game is down right scary.

Cam is a baby. I've been in his corner the whole season, I can't do it any longer. You got beat dude. Be a man and a good sport.

I pretty much knew after the first drive that if the CAR D wasn't going to stop the DEN O then they'd lose.

Literally quit watching at 10-0.

I hate the HT Show. And it is never going to appeal to all people. The ones I can recall that I liked were music that I liked. The Boss, Paul McCartney. Sadly, IMO, The Who show sucked.

So a meh game from what I've heard. Von Miller is a fine MVP.

Not for nothing, but thanks to the Broncos having seasoned veterens who have played in the SB, including Manning, the coach and of course Elway. I think that team was a lot more prepared to enter the game with poise and discipline. The Panthers seemed overwhemled by the spectacle and were making stupid mistakes that where drive killers.

The Broncos didn't play clean - Talib really hurt the team a few times, and that facemask penalty. That was brutal, that was down right dirty
Spot on. Good thing the CAR O was set to "SPAZ"...

Cam is a baby.
That may not come back to hurt him, but I think he lost some respect among many fans by his behavior. What surprised me was not diving into the pile when he was stripped of the ball. He just backed off - that was shocking. I loved what Simms had to say. He didn't want the ball as bad as the Broncos, it wasn't that important to recover it - yet that was the came. Without the Broncos scoring, the Panthers were still in it.

Lol, I nearly spit out my morning coffee on that :)

Yeah, that face mask penalty was a bad one, no doubt about it. But the Broncos did get it under control. They were not penalized at all in the second half.

Cam's postgame was just a complete blunder from an otherwise classy individual. I'm not sure what I think of it overall because many players never return to a Super Bowl, but this guy is the face of the NFL and should have done better.

For those of us either licking our wounds or (in my case) your Cowboys have been out since week 3, The 2016-2017 NFL Thread is up and running because the league never sleeps.

They did, but not for nothing, but if it wasn't for that penalty, they may have prevented the TD by Carolina - his actions made it a much closer game at a time when it was still up for grabs.

The face mask penalty only gave the Panthers an extra yard or two at the most. Even without that penalty, I think the Panthers still score that touchdown.

Really? Classy individual? He is as much a sore winner as he is a sore loser. Never seen another player rub a 2 yard gain in another players face before him. Ripping down banners. Taking team pictures on the sidelines while the game is still going. All of these things point to low class. He's a Diva who can't take the heat.

People and the media act like he was the first player ever to give a game ball to a child.

I normally don't judge players for benign onfield celebration. Everything I have heard about Cam Newton indicates he's a good person.

He may be a good person, but it's obvious he is still not mature enough to handle his emotions in an adult way after a heartbreaking loss. It's easy to celebrate loudly and shrug off criticism when you're winning, but knowing how to deal with pressure and crushing defeat is something all great NFL quarterbacks learn. Hopefully this is a humbling moment for him. Forget the presser after the game, you could tell he wasn't sure how to deal with the pressure right after the first strip sack. I'm sure this was something the Bronco's were counting on going into the game. Cam is a young guy and they knew they could get into his head, suck his soul and crush him emotionally.

Agreed. They were already inside the 5. As far as penalties go, that was a smart penalty. Broncos get penalized 2 yards (half the distance) and he saves a touchdown with an opportunity to stop. Of course they scored by Talib played it right.

Cam may not have won over the media, but it sounds like he was pretty down to earth with Peyton:

"However, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning saw things differently.

'I'll tell ya', Cam couldn't have been nicer to me,' the 39-year-old athlete told TODAY Monday morning. 'He was extremely humble, congratulated me, wished me the best. I told him just congratulations on his outstanding season, and just what a great future he has ahead of him. He'll be back in that game, I can promise you.'"

And on the flip side: Von Miller, Wade Phillips, and Danny Trevaithan and Aqib Talib didn't exactly take the high road in winning.

i agree.

i saw the highlights of the last fumble about an hour ago. wow. cam what were you waiting for?

and i still think he is an ok fella. but i expected more from him. oh well. as a RAIDER fan i can take this allin very casually.

No, Aqib Talib got called for two personal fouls in the first half, one for unsportsman like conduct (taunting) and the other one was a face mask.

Ok. My mistake.

And I might add. since people here seem to hate the Seahawks.

Most-watched TV shows in US history:
1. Super Bowl 49: 114.4 million-- Seattle vs. NE
2. Super Bowl 48: 112.2 million-- Seattle vs. Denver
3. Super Bowl 50: 111.9 million--Denver vs. Carolina

Who hates the Seahawks now ?

Right here. However, since I'm married into an extended family of Seahawks fanatics, I keep my opinions to myself.

All this says is Seattle is more enticing than Carolina. Uh, duh.

A Patriots-Cowboys Super Bowl would bury these numbers. Too bad that will never happen because Jerry Jones.
