The problem with Ryan are also his antics and trash talking. I think he would be an excellent DC but the hc for a rebuilding team like the Rams? Not sure but the name recognition is still there that's why I brought up this possibility.

Wondering if we are going to see overreactions from Carolina or Denver after tonight

so... In order to make the playoffs, the NFC playoffs, the Bucs needed the Titans(vs Texans) and the Colts(vs Jags) to win... ? How did those four AFC teams have an effect on the Bucs?

Elway will have to hire a few secretaries in order to fulfill all the phone calls he is going to get starting tomorrow.
Feel bad for the Raiders great season.and now such injury disaster.

Kelly should take a year of and focus on getting better at play callingx money shouldn't be an issue for the guy.

Happy Pats won the AFC specially after the gongshow suspension for Brady who is already a living legend.

His claim to fame was his system, not play calling. What worked in college doesn't translate into the NFLs. With College you have a shorter season, less practice time, and much larger pool of players to swap in and out to keep them from getting too tired.

I'm not saying his system doesn't work in the NFL, but so far the early returns in SF and a more extended review in Philly are not encouraging.

Looking at his college record, he's never won a national championship and he seeming jumped ship just the NCAA was starting to breath down Oregon's neck

Chip Kelly's out of the 2nd team he's coached in the NFL now.

And Kubiak is retiring from Denver.
Yup, I posted this earlier, it seems Kubiak is leaving due to health reasons.
Well ESPN is reporting that Chip Kelly and the GM will be let go as soon as today or tomorrow. I can understand that with the firing of Trent Baalke the new GM will want his coach, and forcing a marriage of new GM and old coach will just continue the dysfunction.

In other shocking news PFT is reporting that Kubiak may resign, though it appears this may be health related more then anything.

Black Monday is coming and here's my list
Definite:
Chargers - McCoy
Bears - Fox
Cols - Pagano (I'm calling it, and saying he'll be fired)
Jets Bowles
Bills - Ryan Fired

Possible
Lions - Caldwell
49ers - Kelly (Coaches in their first year don't usually get canned but they've looked horrible)
Browns - Brown Jackson (because you can't fire a team)
Looks like list is growing,
McCoy is out.

The Jets have stated that Bowles is safe for the year. One name I didn't put on the list is Sean Payton - it seems he may be working to jump ship to the Rams. Some people are reporting there is mutual interest (Rams and Payton), so its down to if the Saints GM will let him go and/or how many draft picks the Rams will send to the Saints to make this happen. Of course they don't have any draft picks because of the trade they did last year.

It happens to most teams when their substitute quarterback is playing.

Look at Dallas when they put Mark Sanchez in as quarterback yesterday :).

Except that Dallas' substitute QB is Tony Romo so that example is a horrible one. Dak is great but if he were to get hurt in the first quarter of the playoff game I think the Cowboys have the best possible backup

I think he meant that it was a "win" because there were no injuries. The Cowboys should have been playing 3rd and 4th stringers all game, they had nothing to gain but everything to lose.
Bingo. I probably wouldn't have played anybody in the game.

Ahh... I see now.

Patriots should have benched Brady too.
I mean, it only really matters if he gets hurt, but I completely agree.

Disagree. You can't let your starters sit for two weeks. Yes, there's an injury risk, but any team with a bye is foolish to let that happen. I didn't watch that game, so I don't know how long the starters stayed in aside from Prescott. I know they sat Elliot (and RB's might the exception to that idea given the abuse they take all season) and a couple of other guys - I'm assuming due to injury.

Man Seattle is gonna lose two coordinators over 3 years.

First was Dan Quinn to Atlanta and he seems to be doing quit well.
Now there's talk of Darrell Bevel Offensive coordinator taking the Broncos Head coaching job.

They should make Tom cable a package deal with darrell bevel. Seattle has a great QB and great recieving talent(Baldwin, Graham, and lockett) but they're going to waste because the pocket collapses usally right after the ball is snapped. Cables oline expiriments are wasting alot of offensive talent seattle has.

Also seattle should find a new kick/punt returner, don't want lockett getting injured next year.
