Oh that's a relief. I thought it said it may include an oled touch display. Hahahahahah... hahaha... haha...

Q4!!!! Are you guys for real? That's a year later than the competition for a skylake laptop. I don't care how pretty it is, it's a year late!!! Touch ID, so what? All the PC manufacturers have had this for years as part of the TPM setup. What I want from you Apple is something that competes with the high-end Dell and Lenovo workstation class laptops and I want it 6 months ago!
Apple's fiscal Q4 ends ~Sept 30th. It's not talking about Q4 of the year.

Not going to happen. They are about looking nice.

I agree. Shame cos OS X is great. I'll wait until after WWDC, but I think I'm 99.9% sure I'll be buying a Precision 5510.

It's still very late compared to the competition.

I wonder if it'll go with my new watch strap.

This is Apple we're talking about. There's no need to ask.

Of course it won't match your current. The innovative new matching band will only be $999 (plus $79 for an adapter to work with an Apple watch).

Makes me wonder if the Magic Keyboard 3 will eventually adopt this OLED touch bar too. I want an iMac and this gimmick thing sounds cool.

I just hope the OLED bar can tell the difference between human touch and a cat walking across the keyboard. If so, this will be a huge improvement!

Windows sucks since the the very first version to the actual W10... and Non Apple has no comparison with macs... in overall design and in OS....

Aside from the trainwreck that was windows 8, Windows really hasn't been that bad for the past 10 years.

And when you look at every version of MacOS since Mountain Lion, MacOS is just getting less stable, more crash-prone and throwing away features to take on the same limitations as an iPad. Windows 10 actually looks pretty good next to El Crapitan. And i say this as 20+ year Apple fan.

I do want a new MacBook Pro, but between the lock-in to the latest and worst OS version and now potentially having the keyboard replaced with a torture instrument are making the new macs looks pretty undesirable.

Is it any wonder that Mac sales are now behind Chrome PC sales?

Why do people keep saying Apple's Q4 is July to October? The article says it's going to be released Q4 2016 which is Oct-Dec. Imagine if every time an article said Q-anything we would have to look up the company's fiscal year-end? It would be impossible to understand anything.

Well, just as long as they release a Rose gold MBP. It's going to cost me a small fortune to colour match my Apple products if they don't. o_O

Something new and interesting is happening to Macbook and people still don't like it...

Adding touch everywhere but the screen.

Apple is so obvious that they made a mistake saying that touch screens don't work for laptops and are now doing everything possible to deftly maneuver around that faux pas without claiming they made a mistake saying it.

Simply put, sure, touch on a laptop screen might not be used 100% of the time, but having it there allows a LOT of value added and can provide features and innovations just not available on any MacBook today.

Tim Cook needs to call mea culpa on his statement about the Surface Hybrid Fridge/Toaster comments and statements about how poor usability is when using touch on the desktop and simply let Apple engineers find new and innovative ways to add touch screens to Mac screens rather than doing EVERYTHING but the right thing.

Personally I would like to see what Apple could do with touch on the MacBook screen rather than stupid ideas like a touch display bar on the keyboard and Apple engineers dancing around a poor decision made by an inexperienced CEO that allows his poor judgement to continue to negatively impact innovation and progress of the MacBook lineup today.

I would like to have a touch screen, so when I run VMWare Windows I can use it like a PC and when developing iOS apps in simulator I can use the emulated iPad with touch.

I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned this?

It would be pretty neat to closely emulate an iPhone/iPad for a developer I would have thought?

Not forgetting, running Windows 10 on a Touchscreen Mac would probably be useful when emulating a MS Surface

Apple what the ****. Slimmer, Faster is ok, don´t get me wrong. Especially on all the other products.

BUT not with the MacBook PRO. We Customers are asking for performance*, are you not listening?! Otherwise we would get the MacBook/Air.

You will just keep loosing us and then look stupid and don´t know why, I´m pretty sure I´m talking on behalf of most MBP users.

*Especially in terms of graphics... (the rest is fine anyway)
