2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

For US orders, I'm pretty sure the laptops are already in the US, most likely UPS' hub in KY. I predict we will go into Shipped status tonight, and some will get tomorrow. Some might get lucky with Saturday, but most people will get theirs Monday. The reason I believe they are in the US already is two fold. First, there was a three day wait (for many) from their card getting charged (Monday) to PFS (today.) This means to me that cards were charged Monday when they shipped from China, and today they are divvying up the palettes to send to their final destination hence the PFS. Second, there were photos on Reddit of an Apple Store in the UES in NYC putting up displays signs for the new touch MBP possibly with some demo touch models as well. That means there was definitely a good number that have arrived in the US. Going back to my originals theory, stores will have them to demo, review embargo will end, and laptops will start arriving all on the same day which looks like Friday.

I don't think so. I've tried tracking by reference and did not find a tracking number.

I have not been charged yet and I have PFS. However, it usually takes a few days before the charge shows up on my credit card. So maybe that is the case. I order 1-2 hours after the keynote had ended.
 
Someone on reddit claims to have their order showing 'shipped' with FedEx tracking number.

If it were in the States, it would already have a tracking number. They are given that in China. These are BTO machines, not stock machines.
 
Anyone with BTO willing to switch to one of the base or mid 15 if in store? My order says dec 15...(sigh)...if I can get the mid in store I'm gonna go for it.
 
Both FedEx and UPS offer a service to have a package delivered to a FedEx Office location or UPS Store/facility, respectively. I took advantage of those services on the last several big ticket items I ordered.

Time will tell. I would not be surprised at all when tracking numbers are assigned and trackable that it will show leaving KY as the first hop.
 
Mine has moved to PFS!!! Ordered 30 minutes after the Keynote. My card was charged Tuesday early morning. So excited.

When I go to pickup Apple Watch or iPhones the ups guys seem to already know what it is.

That hasn't happened before with the two iPhones and two Apple Watches that I've ordered in the past. I doubt it will happen this time.
