P4S doesn't mean it'll ship today. Maybe tomorrow, which is Friday. Weekend UPS is closed. That means the item will actually start "moving" on Monday. Add to that 1-2 days for actual shipping. That means Thursday 11/17 is actual delivery at the earliest.
For US orders, I'm pretty sure the laptops are already in the US, most likely UPS' hub in KY. I predict we will go into Shipped status tonight, and some will get tomorrow. Some might get lucky with Saturday, but most people will get theirs Monday. The reason I believe they are in the US already is two fold. First, there was a three day wait (for many) from their card getting charged (Monday) to PFS (today.) This means to me that cards were charged Monday when they shipped from China, and today they are divvying up the palettes to send to their final destination hence the PFS. Second, there were photos on Reddit of an Apple Store in the UES in NYC putting up displays signs for the new touch MBP possibly with some demo touch models as well. That means there was definitely a good number that have arrived in the US. Going back to my originals theory, stores will have them to demo, review embargo will end, and laptops will start arriving all on the same day which looks like Friday.

It's interesting that Apple choose today to P4S ... It's a busy night in China for online shopping if u know China well... Today is like black friday in US... It is highly likely that Your macbook is already on the flight or you have to wait at least next week to get it.

No matter what, it's good news for everyone.

Guys it's happening!!!

Interested as well as to anyone who sees a status change for a 15" stock order. Congrats to all who are seeing updates!

Have any stock 15s even been charged/p4s?

What if they're doing BTO 15, STOCK 15 and then BTO 13, STOCK 13?

I ordered a few minutes after the store reopening and I ordered a the high end 15" stock model. Still Processing and no charge. I think it's possible the stock models may ship domestically and the BTOs are shipping from China.

I just checked my online order status again (for the umpteenth time today) and it changed to PFS!

That's what I'm thinking, BTOs may very well get charged now and stock tonight or tomorrow since they're already in the states and could still be here Saturday/Monday

I guess it's possible that Apple shipped the first BTOs to the US in bulk, probably along with stock configs. I suspect they'd save a bunch on shipping costs that way.

Is it common in previous macbook shipments that stock items were delivered later than BTO ones?

I'm thinking the stock ones are already in the states at this point, there's no way they're going into production after the BTOs

1. because the earliest delivery date for a stock is tomorrow

2. the next is on the 15th, and Best Buy will apparently have them in on the 16th, also reviews are coming out and Apple isn't going to send one laptop at a time from the factory to their reviewers. they probably brought them to the states first, then shipped them out to them.

3. both the Apple Store and Best Buy told me on launch day they'd be in store in two weeks.. that's today.

i would like to have mine on the 12th i know thats a saturday.. its a possiblity if it ships today/tonight and they use fedex.
