I would tend to agree but mine is getting shipped to store so I don't really care when it gets there as long as it does. The reason I had it shipped to store though is because I don't want to deal with having to be around to accept the shipment or risk UPS just leaving in on the porch without signature and then having it be stolen! That's a good reason for folks to be all over the shipping estimates. That and shiny new toy syndrome, I guess.

Completely get it. I would have done the same if I didnt take off lol. However, finding out what jet your MacBook is on and when it lands and lakes off is not going to make your MacBook come any faster.
Detective work and airline / shipping logistics for some reason interests me and I enjoy passing the time during these pre-order periods discussing and theorizing on where they are going and how they are processed through the system. I think I should have had a career in logistics...LOL
Anyways, I understand it is all a bit crazy. I still have a high chance of returning mine if it doesn't meet my expectations vs my 2012 rMBP. Now that I know I have till Jan 8th to evaluate it I really don't care what day or even week it arrives. Still, I enjoy these threads and rarely come on these forums other than during these times that I preorder something along with the masses.
My delivery estimate from day 1 was Nov 24-30th....I've been PFS since Thursday....Now that I know it is for sure going UPS and not Fedex, I have to budget an extra 3-4 days for a truck to drive the Alaska Hwy from Edmonton AB to me in the Yukon. But that still means if mine goes on UPS81 on Monday evening that I could receive it as early as Nov 18th (Friday) but more likely it will be the 21st (Mon) and will still beat Apples initial estimate for me of the 24th.
I think almost everyone that had a 17-24th estimate in the US will get it between 14-16th based on what we've seen so far. Apple getting these to us before the start of the original estimates is what we have come to expect.

Based on the speed of what we're seeing with the first wave, I wouldn't be surprised to see your batch start moving to PFS Monday-Wednesday.
Having only ordered BTO MBP in the past, they have all come directly from China...
I would expect this to still be the case for BTO... i would Imagine that the Stock MBP would be sent to Australia first then sent out..
Did the Apple CS you spoke, clarify if it was Stock MBP or BTO for Australia?
I sure wish it was because guess what...the flight from Anchorage to Kentucky flies right over where I live in the Yukon!!
Well, UPS 85 has landed and UPS 81 in 24 mins, first shipped people should be getting arrival scans in the next hour or so.
Please educate me. Could those who are "Preparing For Shipment" receive this? Specifically those with stock models, or will I be tracking the order from China?

Just got a shipment notification of my 15" MBP BTO from Apple indicating a FedEx delivery. First pre-order I've done that is shipping internationally using FedEx.
