2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Ordered a stock 13", confirmation email at 7:35pm local time... still processing. Not that I'm expecting too much - I was refreshing the store as soon as the event ended but never saw 2-3 week windows, started at 3-4 - but would be nice to see some movement at some point...

I've read on past threads that UPS has a maximum number of units they can ship out of China per day for Apple. If that's true, that's probably why some are hanging out in Shanghai for so long. It also seems to be ordered by the time of the arrival scan at Shanghai, not the export scan (but definitely an export scan before it would ever leave there). I would be shocked if yours isn't on the next round of planes tomorrow. Mine left China today and went through Osaka Japan on it's way to Anchorage, so they seem to be using both the direct and non-direct routes to get these shipped.

I'm assuming this means I'll be pushed back. I cant imagine that it'll make it stateside tomorrow and manage to get to me in So Cal Thursday.
 
I'm on hold with them right now about my order for a 15" Space Gray 256 that I placed on the 11th. (cancelled my order from Apple because "guaranteed" they would get it to me on the 16th).

She said they have a note that the street date has been pushed to the 21st, which is clearly not real information...

Present status is I got cut off and am calling back...


Whelp, just got an email from Best Buy - My order has a new release date of 11/21, day after I head out of town... Ugh.

Yup, I have the same with an arrival stamp of 10:02 am in Anchorage. UPS is advising it will be delivered on Thursday (St. Louis). It was originally set for Friday.

This probably means mine won't make it to St. Louis on Thursday since it hasn't even gotten to Alaska yet :(

Yeah I went ahead and said screw the education discount and just ordered from BestBuy. Says 11/21. Now I wonder if I should go ahead and cancel my Apple order or just wait and see which one charges me first. Apple hasn't even attempted to charge me and my order still says processing...

Anyone who received their orders use Maya? How are the machines holding up? I primarily use Adobe softwares so I hope this AMD chip is improved even without CUDA.

Just a reminder that Apple is also using FEDEX and DHL to move orders.
 
As an update. Best Buy is claiming they haven't received any stock on the 15" models yet. Their new date is "by 11/21" but that isn't guaranteed either (even though I quite literally have a screen capture of a chat where they "guaranteed" the 16th).

Spoke to a rep, then a supervisor, got the same story from both.

Hmm.. someone on here is getting theirs delivered tomorrow from BestBuy though. Now I wonder if I should keep my Apple order and cancel my BestBuy order...
 
Anyone with 3-4 weeks timeframe shipped out yet? Earliest I could get mines is next Wednesday, so I'm hoping to go to PFS soon!

For what its worth, he's getting a 13". Haven't seen anyone say they had any movement on the 15" models from Best Buy yet.
