Jenrry Mejia of New York Mets suspended permanently by MLB for third positive PED test (has an auto-play video)

Mejia, 26, may apply to commissioner Rob Manfred for reinstatement in one year. If reinstated, he would have to sit out a minimum of two years before being able to pitch again in the majors. If an application is made and denied, Mejia could ask baseball's arbitrator to end the ban, claiming the penalty is without "just cause.'' The arbitrator cannot reduce the ban to less than two years.

I was under the impression that Greg Bird was more of a depth piece who was slated to spend most of his time at AAA, rather than a guy who figured heavily in the Yankees' plans this season.

Ready for Spring Training! If everyone stays healthy, there should be pretty much zero intrigue in the Giants' camp as every spot is more or less settled at this time except for the fifth outfielder.

Pfft, my Tigers rank 19 ---> David Schoenfield must have been smoking some wacky tobacky before he came up with those rankings. I not saying the Tigers should be in the top 5, but they in my opinion are higher than 19th.
