Around this point we will have lots of customers picking up or receiving their 2017 mbps. I'm curious how the real-world battery life fares for you guys so far. My hope is that this thread becomes a repository that gets more useful as more people post their stats, so that we as a community have a collection of real world data to analyze.
The reason for this is that the official spec on Apple's website is "up to 10 hours," but traditionally their listed battery life has been conservative (at least when the # of cycles on the battery is small). On the other hand people continue to complain about the battery life of the 2016 version not being anywhere near the official estimate. So it seems like kind of an open question where the 2017 models fall on this spectrum.
I'm interested in "moderate" use which I know is a vague term. Moderate for me means using Netflix or Amazon Prime, working a bit on photoshop, coding and compiling programs that don't take hours to recompile, making FaceTime calls, etc. Basically everyday use when you're not finishing a big project on a deadline.
