It's back at best buy for 1299. Not as good as the 1149 of course but still a good buy I think.

Still a pretty good deal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped it back to $1149 again in a couple weeks if they don’t sell out.

I finally I opened mine (in silver) which I had ordered during the Labor Day special. Just too good a deal to pass up. Really nice laptop but debating on whether to keep it or not. Already have a silver 2017 12” MacBook with i5 (err, M5), 8GB and 512 SSD. Wanted to see if I liked the larger screen, newer keyboard, Touch ID, and extra RAM of the Air enough to make up for the larger size/footprint of it compared to my 12” MacBook (I love ultra small laptops). So far I’m not sure it’s worth the trade off. Oh well, I’ll keep testing it out and see if it grows on me. I have until 10/6 to return it. If anyone has any questions regarding comparisons between the two MacBooks, feel free to let me know.

Best Buy has a 30 day return policy? Pretty cool.
