This years Patriots have a mediocre Offense at best and no kicking game. You'd be surprised at how dependent they have become on Gostkowski's leg over the years. How many times did Coach BB went for it on 4th down with in FG range because he didn't trust the kicker? When they finally found a reliable kicker in Folk, he got injured soon after.

All the Pats have this year is a great D. But that D faced off against 3 elite QB's (Jackson, Mahomes and Watson) they've been exposed.

Agreed. I think the Patriots will lose in the divisional round.

I agree. As long as the Hawks don't pull another bone headed move when it comes to clock management they really shouldn't have that much trouble putting away the dirty birds from Philly.
Man, I hope you folks are right! The thing is that if the Hawks beat Philly, and the Saints beat the Vikings, then the Hawks would need to travel to SF to play the 49ers again! Not sure they can beat them, although they did beat them in SF earlier in the year.

If, however, the Vikings beat the Saints, then the Hawks would travel to Lambeau Field to play the Packers. I like that match-up better.

Agreed, I think the Seahawks will win pretty easily.

The Eagles are not very good.

Wasn’t the Packers favored to destroy the Eagles back in September? And then Green bay lost on top of that? [Both rhetorical questions] I wouldn’t dismiss the Eagles that easily, they have a talented quarterback with Wentz and decent D-Line. Plus, The playoffs have a totally different type of mentality the way teams perform in Post-season.

Sorry folks, wanted to post this earlier. It is a photo of our grand son taken by our daughter-in-law right after the Hawk loss on Sunday. Definitely very appropriate!

Why are analysts saying the Packers are favored to win the Super Bowl? That’s not gonna happen, they’re not even playing that great of football, they _barely_ beat some teams with horrible losing records all season. Sure, they have a great winning record, but they’ve struggled/fallen behind barely winning against some of these teams that are not even playoff contenders to begin with.

Crazier things have happened. I know the NFC is super competitive but once the playoffs begin crazy things tend to happen in the NFL... An average team could get hot and run the table. Remember success in this league is largely dictated by the QB position... Packers have an elite QB and if Rodgers suddenly comes out and plays out of his mind in the playoffs they could win it all..... I am not saying any of this is going to happen but all I'm saying is that it's not out of the realm of possibility.

But they are keeping the GM. Isn’t he the one who built the team? I fear the Giants will continue to suck unless they clean house and bring in a proven coach.

But is Gettelman that terrible really? I mean people blasted him for taking a RB #2 in the 2018 draft instead of a QB, then they blasted him for taking Daniel Jones #6 this past draft..... But as it turns out you guys appear to now have a franchise QB and a generational talent at RB to go along with him..... He seems to have hit great value with Slayton.... did the balsy move of getting rid of Beckham who is a bit of a distraction and constantly hurt..... Picked up Tate who appears to be a big asset.... I would give him a chance to try and fix the defense... I think he's made enough good moves to deserve a little more time no?

Well I am a little biased since I hate, correction loath that team from Philly...

Signed Dallas Cowboy fan. :)

But I actually think the hawks have a pretty good chance at beating them.

Oh, I agree with everything you’re saying. And you’re right, they have an excellent quarterback with Rogers who is _very_ elusive and dangerous when outside the pocket. And as I mentioned before, teams play on a totally different level in the playoffs, adrenaline is at an all-time high, coaching staff are tweaking every minute detail with offense/defensive strategies, the crowd makes a huge difference, etc.

I really think this is going to be an explosive first round for the playoffs, I mean, I’ve got some significant money riding on the potential outcomes. 😁

Bitter, party of one, your table is now available.

Lol I have a feeling my dinner party is pretty big. I might be bringing most NFL fans outside of New England with me... Not sure if the restaurant has enough seating. At the very least all fans of AFC teams should be joining me.

Predictions for Saturday:

1.) Buffalo Bills advance over the Houston Texans. [I don’t care if JJ Watt is back or not, he won’t be the deciding factor like some are claiming for this game.]

2.) Tennessee Titans advance over New England Patriots. I think the Titans offense has proven to be undermined/underrated given their ferocity how they’ve played in the latter part of the season.

If the Patriots can play decent defense and Tom Brady is where he needs to be offensively, that would be the only deciding factor if the Titans are not playing on par against N.E.

TBC....Sunday’s predictions following Saturday’s games.

Better yet, predict Saturday's games on Sunday.

You don't get paid to do predictions like the media people do. Doesn't matter if they are wrong, they still get paid. I wonder if there's a class action lawsuit in there somewhere. ???

You don't get paid to do predictions

Sure I do. If my bracket stays secure with who I have predicted to win, my payout is pretty healthy. I mean, this could go the other way where I owe a significant amount of money pending Saturday’s/-Sunday’s losses, or break even. Either way, lets hope I’m $XXXXX richer by the end of the weekend.😁
