I officially bestow upon you the title of “Analyst” ;)

Oft accurate Analyst I would think :)

Really, why keep saying this about Ming-Chi Kuo?

Where was the long touted "cheap" MacAir?

Almost anyone could make the "predictions" he makes. Sometimes I think he says things to get rumours repeaters to buy into in the hope Apple will listen and change course. :)

More surprised that there may be an updated Xr.

Are you Xrs?

(I know, bad pun, sorry.)

No, just no.

I'm not a fan of Face ID, but it's NOT going to hurt you. That fearmongering "business consultant" (Not making that up, it's what Shudeep Chandrasekhar calls himself) is not a scientist of any sort, and has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

You can certainly be hurt by IR - if and only if it's energetic enough. You definitely don't want to be in the path of an IR laser cutter. But Face ID is no more dangerous than looking at any relatively dim visible light source. You're going to get more IR looking at a candle.

Lol, IR are harmless.
Lol what? IR is most definitely not "harmless." It all depends on intensity, wavelength, time of exposure, etc. IR from the sun is diffuse and generally considered harmless. IR lasers are not considered harmless and are in fact regulated. Apple is within the regulations, but no long-term epidemiological studies have assessed the health risks of biometric VCSELs. So we just don't know for sure.
IR is known to damage the eye and the retina specifically at certain lengths of intensity and exposure, and this would occur without any pain since the retina doesn't register pain. Retinal damage is also irreversible.

Just saying. I do use Face ID though.

Maybe the 2019(20) iPad will finally get Mouse support. Surely the Engineers can start on a project to make that happen.

The thing that worries me with Face ID. Coming from a 6s. I have had a tendency to accidentally tap on things to buy, by the luck of not having my finger on the home button Touch ID hasn’t approved the purchase. With Face ID I feel I’m gong to make a number of accidental purchases.

And with the same design. Looks like Apple keeps going back and forth between glass and aluminum.
I doubt that. iPads don't have inductive charging. I don't see the iPhone losing the glass enclosure.

Face ID in the new iPhones works absolutely flawless. It can’t be improved any further.

It can get faster, think about TouchID. First gen was good, second was really great. FaceID is just fine now, but I could use some extra speed while unlocking

Do you have an iPhone X ???

Because I specially meant the speed of FaceID on this years iPhone XS and XR - it is instant and can’t possibly get any faster.
