Well, the G=Men did it. Wonder if the Hawks were overlooking them? The Giant defense must have been real good, and thus they deserve all the credit.
Today's NY Giants win isn't shocking. While starting 0-5 they lost a couple of close games. Since then they have gone 5-2. Those two recent losses were on a combined 3 points.

The NY Giants are moving in the right direction. They could have been 8-4 with a little luck.

On the other side of the coin, the Seahawks started 5-0 and have been 3-4 since then.

The Seahawks are moving in the wrong direction.

Today's sack differential was NYG 2 - SEA 5. The Seahawk offensive line was porous. The Giants had a better pass-run balance and the Seahawk's Carlos Hyde was unproductive.

More importantly the turnover differential was NYG 1 - SEA 2. This team statistic is really the most accurate predictor of NFL game outcomes.

Seems like you are correct. Meanwhile, the recent victories by the Seahawks were very close games, and certainly not dominant football. I am definitely not feeling that comfortable with the Hawks.

But I agree with what Relentless Power said above about the Packers. They seem to be the team to beat. And assuming they continue to play well (their schedule looks favorable), going through Lambeau field in January will be real, real tough.

This season is particularly difficult to anticipate since COVID-19 measures can greatly influence a team's playable roster on any given day. Look at the Broncos.

We know that positive COVID-19 test results will continue. What we don't know is how seriously individual players take the isolation guidelines. The Broncos QB muddle last weekend showed how the poor decisions of a handful of players can essentially doom the result of a game.

In the case of Denver, I think it came down to the maturity of Drew Lock and the seriousness he took COVID-19 precautions. He's young and in his second NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers is a smart veteran QB with real leadership skills. More than other years, the NFC and AFC championship games will be populated by teams led by real leaders both on the field and off, those who take the COVID-19 protocol seriously themselves and encourage their teammates to adhere to said rules.

We know coronavirus doesn't care about QB ratings, yards after catch, field goal kicking distance, whether or not a team is wearing throwback jerseys, etc. It's just an opportunistic infectious agent.

Yeah, the Chiefs look like they can go all the way. But don't forget the Steelers are undefeated. The AFC Championship game will most likely be the Chiefs versus the Steelers.

Yeah, totally forgot about the Steelers. They are another force to be reckoned with. I honestly think it will be another exciting year for the playoffs. There’s so many teams they can go an unexpected directions. I think the first wildcard weekend is going to be huge.

Yeah, that is so, so accurate! I live not very far from Seattle, and was actually looking at this game as an "easy" one. Boy, was I wrong! And with the Rams beating the Cardinals, they are in 1st place in the NFC West.

Shoot, not even sure about the next game for the Hawks, the Jets at home. The Jets came real close today to beating the Raiders.
The Jets are going to tank the rest of the way.

That's a no brainer. They will gun for the first draft pick likely Trevor Lawrence of Clemson.

Not quite as catchy as "Suck For Luck".

Jacksonville has one win, Cincy has two. It's not like the winless Jets need to work hard to get the #1 draft pick. The Jets are in the driver's seat here.

Drafting a QB as the #1 pick is actually retarded but the Jets' front office is stupid enough to pursue this approach.

Generally speaking the #1 draft pick should be an offensive lineman.

At this point in the season it has nothing to do with ability. It has to do with mindset.

The Jets aren't going to the playoffs this season.

For an athlete, it must suck to realize that your team's best outcome is to lose every single game.

But if there's a season to do this 2020 is it. COVID-19 has emptied the stands and destroyed turnstile ticket revenue.

Drafting the number 1 pick and actually winning with the number 1 pick are something the Jets have trouble with.

We know.

Well, at least the non-Jets NFL watchers know.

I think the only people who are in denial are the Jets front office staff. THAT is a problem. But not ours...

Hell maybe the Jets will hire Matt Patricia as the head coach next season.

What are the odds Trevor decides to stay another year at Clemson.
Highly doubtful... why would he walk away from 36-40 Mil guaranteed to go risk injury for free... Not to mention the opportunity to play in the biggest media market and capitalize on advertisement opportunities. The team with the number 1 pick is almost always a bad team so its not like he is going to hold out another year and end up on a really good team.

Very low considering he has already said goodbye:

This decision has likely been discussed by Trevor with his family, sports agents, the Clemson athletic department, the football team staff, various Clemson football scouts, etc.

From a personal achievement standpoint, he has few opportunities to prove himself in collegiate competition. They already won the national title. If he hadn't won the national title, there would have been more reasons for him to stay for another shot. He doesn't need that.

There are plenty more opportunities waiting for Trevor at the professional level, both on the field and off.

Pretty surprising that the Redskins beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Yeah, the NFC East must be getting real tough! Two upsets in 2 days: G-Men beating Seattle, and the Washington Football Team beating the undefeated Steelers. And both were road victories.

The Hawks have to play Washington in DC on Sunday, December 20th. Originally that looked like an "easy" win for the Hawks, but now not so sure.

Yes and no. Many of the Steelers games were pretty close, just like this one. They also had a short week as their last game was less than a week ago. It was a close game, small mistakes were made here and that ultimately lead to a loss.

Yeah, the Steelers are having to play 3 games in 12 days.

Dez Bryant was on the field for warmups before last night's game, then learned his COVID test came back positive. He left the field and did not play, but the game went on without him. I did not hear that anyone else sat out because of this. How is it possible that he was not in close contact with teammates and at least his position coach? I would not be surprised to hear that other Ravens players are infected also.

Well, the Seahawks did as expected, in beating the Washington Football Team 20 to 16 (why do most Seahawk games need to be so close?). But the HUGE surprise at the moment is the winless Jets dominating the Rams 20 to 3, down in LA, midway through the 3rd quarter! Can the unthinkable happen, ie, the Jest beat the Rams?

Good for the Jets, good for the league.

No one benefits from a season with a winless NFL team. That is not the image that the NFL wants to cultivate.

That's bad for TV ratings, that's bad for expansion scenarios, that's bad for pretty much everyone.
