It has to rain at Spa otherwise it’s not a real Belgian GP.
Yeah whatever the FIA required Ferrari to do to their PU made it the least-powerful by a fair bit so it's going to be an absolute dog on the power circuits. I don't see them getting out of Q3 at Monza so the press is going to be demanding heads the following Monday.
I could very well see Ferrari 7th in the WDC by season's end.

My guess is they finish the races this season with a good deal more oil in the PU. The only other thing I can think of is trickery with the Fuel Metering. Could have been a combination of both. Shell was blending a specific oil for Ferrari.
Some day it will "leak" out.
Lewis was mighty today. Yes the car suits Spa, but still nearly half a second in front of his team mate. Starting on the mediums as well. So hard to see anything other than a win for Mercedes tomorrow.
Still no more party mode from next week. Shame as I think we should see the absolute maximum over one lap qualifying.

While most drivers would not turn down the opportunity to have "Ferrari F1 Driver" on their CV, one has to wonder about the thoughts going through the mind of Sainz.
With the development freeze, the SF1000 isn't going to get much better, so he's stuck driving it for at least a year.
Then, he'll have to outperform the favored son, Leclerc, to have any chance of being taken seriously, and forestall the chances of being banished to the #2 role permanently.
It would also not be out of bounds to even question who his boss on the pit wall will be next season.
Zak never shuts up, but if Andreas and the rest of the crew can continue the rebuild, and the Merc PU adapts well to the chassis, Daniel will be saying "Phew, and thank you very much."

Is it just me or does that seem a bit ridiculous making the cars drive through all that debris under the safety car? Thought they might have red flagged that.
So our feed has been very spotty today I totally missed the start and then the wreck...? I guess. What happened?
A collision between Russell & Giovinazzi left a lot of debris on the track and cars had to cautiously drive over it. Although after I posted, the majority pitted and the marshalls did a good job of clearing it by the time they came back around.
Nervy last 10 laps for the top 3 on those tyres. No doubt Lewis had Silverstone flashbacks.

Embarrassing that Kimi in the Alfa finished above both Ferrari's. What must Sainz be thinking now.
He should talk to Alain Prost, who must be having flashbacks to 1991 - the chassis drives like a truck, the engine is as weak as minute-brewed tea and the Three Stooges are manning the pits.

I totally agree with you and it’s a point I’ve brought on here a few times. Carlos must be slightly regretting his decision seeing as he has to over throw the darling LeClerc and drag some results out of a dog of a car and within a team that is a management shambles. McLaren are looking to be on the up and for many are equally as prestigious as the Scuderia. I personally think he’s going to find it tough and a poor run there could end an F1 career.
Danny Ric must be laughing secretly as it sounds like Ferrari was as attractive to him and he saw more to the decision than just a cool brand.
Scrap the top three and it would have been a fun race. Good result for Renault. Especially Danny. Bonus point for fastest lap too.
In the constructors 2nd+3rd+4th just beats Mercedes combined. By next week probably not.

I‘d say it’s the opposite. Ignore everything better than fourth. Then it would have been interesting (at least I assume that’s what he wanted to say).
