2020 Mac mini?

I just tried to purchase a Mac mini from Apple store. Got it home and about this Mac says “late 2018”

Can anyone confirm what the latest Mac mini model number is?

I call Apple service and he tells me they are not even out yet.

Website says “NEW” so I assumed would be latest model.

I go to the store for a refund, they have no clue and have been selling 2018.

I’m confused

Yeah the 2020 is just the 2018 but slightly different starting configuration with more storage. It’s still the same computer as the 2018. The next Mac mini that will actually be a new machine will very likely be Apple Silicon
