Same exact way. People always thought I'm weird not working on an iPhone launch day. No way! I need a day off to spend time with my new iPhone.

I think it depends on the hub; the UPS app will tell you the pickup hours that are available at your local hub.

@guitar.jake - it varies by Customer Center. You have to look up their specific hours and they are somewhat limited. Mine is open 10am-2pm. They also have an unpublicized Will Call time after 6:30pm-ish - when the trucks come back, it's a chance to get a box that was missed along the route. Some of these signs of hours are posted on the outside or on their doors, and don't always match website listings.

Do you know if it is availabe the same day so lets say if I wait for the truck and the truck delivers at 3pm. Would I be able to pick up the phone at 10am on that same day? (launch day). WHen I go in my UPS, I can start the process and the local hub is the only one that does not mention a date. All other non main hub locations show 3 days later so I assume it is the same day (Sept. 16th)

Has the Apple site stopped allowing the option for pickup for anyone else and now just says check back on the 16th? I’ve been checking it periodically throughout the last few days hoping one in my preferred color and capacity is canceled at my local store and I’m able to grab it, but now I don’t even get the option at all. What gives?

If your change request goes through, the phone won't even go on the truck...so yes, you will be able to pick it up as early as 10am on Friday, assuming you get the confirmation e-mail and/or an arrival at CC scan prior to that.

Nah, you're good. While you're at the store, you might want to ask the staff to update your new iPhone to iOS 16 final build. That way, you don't have to when you set it up at home.

Yes they disabled that for now. They will enable again this friday at 6 am your local time.
