Me too, I might miss watching the "final 4" this weekend
and forget the sport ever existed starting next year.
what a shame that money and CEOism deflated the spirit of such a fun and traditional sport.
I'm going to have to watch both.
Now I may shut off the Mich/bama game if it gets ugly in bama's favor.
Michigan "should" win, but something tells me they would rather be playing FSU.
Alabama can be tough so either result won't surprise me.
I do think FSU got hosed, based on record. But their strength of schedule wasn't the best (though Georgia's wasn't much better). I predict Georgia wins.
Though Georgia went from #1 to out of the playoffs in one week. Maybe they got hosed too.
Blame Auburn for the entire mess. If they could have only stopped Alabama from scoring on a 38 and Goal on 4th down.........
I guess it was payback for the Kick Six, but still.......
As to FSU, I don't think it was SoS that hosed them, but losing their starting QB. Without him, they simply weren't a Top 4 team.
I just logged on here to say this. I know it's still early, but I was expecting a closer game. I also am rooting for FSU...sympathy vote? Probably.
I am torn. One uncle went to FSU and another went to and played football for UGA (ironically he lived in Tallahassee). My dad played for Florida.
Yeah, and Jordan Travis wouldn't have made a difference. At least not on defense.
I expected low offense from FSU. But the defense...yikes.
This game is a joke at this point. I wonder how FSU feels when they had all these people rallying for them screaming how they were robbed and then they go out and play like this. I’m embarrassed for them.
I was one of them, who thought FSU should've gotten it. Boy, was that take off the mark.

FSU was playing with lots of Freshmen on defense. More than half of their starters opted out. Somehow I don't think so many would have if they had been in the Playoff. But this year, perhaps more than any other, proved conclusively that a 4-team Playoff wasn't enough. Of course, next year there will be arguments about which teams deserve a first round bye, and if a conference champ that's ranked outside of the top twelve, if that happens, really should be in that group.
I'm glad you posted this because I hadn't considered that many of their seniors/starters had opted to not play. That makes a lot more sense.
Hopefully an expanded playoff will convince more players to stick around, although with all the money being thrown around in the Pros, I'm not getting my hopes up.
I've said it before - I don't think what we have now is substantially better than the pre-BCS days of just leaving the whole thing up to voters. 12 teams will help, but I wish they'd fix the damned transfer protocol.
