Well then perhaps the Bills fooled my inexpert eye on the last outing, there were some pretty good running plays against the Steelers.

Ever since they changed OC's they have been running the ball a lot better and featuring Cook a lot more... I think that's been the secret to their resurgence... They are a more balanced offense now.. Before teams knew they were going to pass all the time and were sitting on that. But I have a feeling that Allen is due for one of his signature 3 interception games and KC is still pissed about the way they lost their last game to the Bills...so I think KC still wins this one.

The problem with the Bills is, they might start running the ball and if they don't get 5 yards or more on the first few plays, they quickly turn to Josh hero mode and that's when they get in touble. The Bills can abandon the running game too quickly sometimes.

Going with the home teams for this weekend's games

Ravens over Texans
Bills over Chiefs
49ers over Packers
Lions over Bucaneers

Now rank them by confidence. :)

1) 49'ers over Packers
2) Ravens over Texans
3) Lions over Bucs
4) Bills over Chiefs

And surprised that neither McCarthy or Siriani has been let go.

Texans @ Ravens - I wouldn't be surprised if Stroud proved me wrong.
Packers @ 49ers - This should be a lock but I don't trust Purdy.
Bucs @ Lions - BM6 will embarrass me but I want the dream to stay alive. GO LIONS!
Chiefs @ Bills - Two cold weather teams beating the crap out of each other... injuries will abound!

Lamar has a 43 QBR in the playoffs. He better get better, or it will be one and done.

Home game for the Bills though, and they have been playing quite well. I wouldn’t mind watching this one live, although I suspect I won’t get the chance and will have to settle for highlights.

that seems to agree with the odds makers......but there's gotta be an upset or it isn't any fun!

And so....Chiefs over Bills for the upset

Normally, I would pick Buffalo at home. But the defensive injuries...it's similar for the Bills like what happened to Miami, especially at LB - backups playing for backups. If the Bills win, they will have to outscore KC. It wont be a 13-10 game, more like 38-35.

What I like about these games is that the postseason elimination-match format really brings out who has the big game temperament. A regular season matchup between the Texans and the Ravens would be fun but it wouldn’t necessarily get each team to play at their peak.

Ok I’m going into grouch mode about ESPNs coverage of the Divisional round, they are only showing one match out of four on the flagship channel, which is the only one I can see. It’s slack, I wouldn’t have minded a bit of Texans v Ravens action before bed, but no, I have to wait for the highlights to show on YouTube. Would it have killed them to show one game at a reasonable, non-1am hour? Instead we get the Chiefs v Bills at 1 am local time! Harrumph.
