Bortoleto will start from the pit lane if they get the car put back together I guess?
Throw everything at it and a new PU? I just don’t understand how they are so far off. He has no grip. I understand the low downforce setup being on the last PU. Maybe it’s a PU Mode solution with downforce?
Yes he will certainly be allowed to start since he has shown during the weekend he is well within the 107% rule.
Usually lower downforce works for Max, but not on this track on this day. The lower downforce probably hurt Max warming up the tires during Sprint and GP qualifying and likely caused him to slide more in the Sprint, which wore his tires down. And that will likely come into play again during the GP tomorrow. As such, I am wondering if they will accept a Pit Lane start to change his setup.

Lower downforce worked for Max at Suzuka and Imola, but it did not work at Silverstone and it is not working at Interlagos. Max is starting from pit lane with a new PU. Just announced. No specifics on setup changes other than going back to the Mexico Floor. Nothing on downforce.
I agree they are not.I guess there are many types of F1 fans, those that enjoy the race, don't care about the politics, others like myself that care deeply about the politics, the deeper ramifications of the dealings that make up the sport..
It is often said in F1, you have 10 teams, now 11, and to get 10/11 to agree on anything is impossible.. Like trying to get toothpaste back into the tube, cannot be done, but F1 managed to get 10 team principles to agree to Sprints.. How that happened, would be worth at least 2 or 3 PHD's and a couple of Mr Dynamite's prizes.. Would love the team to convince me Sprints are viable...
Not keen either, but I watch them.I completely ignore the sprint races, it’s just part of ‘the show’ that doesn’t appeal to me and I’ve only ever watched one since the idea came about. I am looking forward to the race highlights though and quali was exciting. The rain is going to mix things up and I just hope Lando keeps it on the island. He’s really become focused this second half of the season.
OOOH.. Interlagos is wet, might be a wet n wild ride in about 5 hours 15 min time..
Brazil never fails to entertain.
Think it is time for McLaren to start focusing on Lando for the WDC as he has the momentum, now.
Great race.
Epic drive from Max. DOD easily. Even surprised me with this one. Superb drive from Kimi under pressure from Max. Max joins Prost and Mansell as the only drivers to finish on the podium from a pit start. Maximum effort anywhere, anytime.
On to Vegas. 😉
Zak says “We don’t do that. We race.” 😂
I think Max would have pit lane to winner chicken dinner, had the race actually been a decent length, not this stupid senior primary from the class 1 300m race to the standard 5 1km.. We need decent lap counts, 71 on this track was a farce, 100 laps easy...Max set another record today for all time podium finishes from different starting places in F1 History.
I think P1 was there if the Hard Stint could have gone another 10 laps before the first VSC.
