Listen up. The teasers of the new design have been and continue to be seen; you just have to look for them. The Apple Watch Ultra 1 and its island around the crown were a preview of the brutal style of the 17 Pro line.

We can also look for what's coming with the iPhone 20 screen in watches, but in the Series. Starting with the Series 7, the screen seamlessly flows into the case, extending deeper, and the technology makes it arguably more visible from every angle.

Couldn't the iPhone 20 borrow the same features? Imagine if our Series 7-11 models had the iPhone's proportions, with the screen extending to at least half the body. This wouldn't be a Samsung Edge, but something completely different yet consistent with Apple's design.

Oh god, please don't bring back the wrapped screen!!! Worst thing ever, Samsung as all about it years ago, we don't need that to come back into our lives!! It didn't work then, wouldn't work now!

That's what I've been speculating, an iPhone whose display edges come down further than they currently do, but with no black bezel at all, but there would still be metal on the sides. Metal around the circumference of the phone isn't needed to grip it better, but keeping it would greatly reduce damage if the phone is dropped.

So if this is correct, we'd basically be going back to an iPhone X design albeit with useable display along the curved glass edges. So old it's new again (with a twist). I always knew they'd bring back a curved device.

That render looks cool, expensive, and fragile with the screen wrapped around the edges. I guess you'd have to use a transparent case with it.

Not a fan of a screen that curves on the edges…

Aside from that, let’s hope they use this new OLED technology on the regular iPhone 18, and that they improve even further the “reduce PWM” feature so that they manage to eliminate almost all of the pulses or flickers. The current iPhone 17 seems to do a good job but still flickers a bit.

Just having that option on the iPhone 17 signals that Apple is aware of the issue, and gives me hope that Apple is taking ocular health into account and we may see improvements in that direction. Let’s cross our fingers.
Well, according to Ross Young he gave this iPhone roadmap in 2022. And Omdia estimation gave the iPad & MacBook roadmap in 2024. I hope all the apple products (SE/Air/Pro) go fully consistent with the same or better specs. That includes lower-cost MacBook (not released yet), iPad, IPhone 17e or later, Apple Watch SE and Apple Vision SE/Air. So that no one has to choose pros all the time.

Good to hear about this. Not sure whether it will be an all screen design with FaceID and front camera underneath the screen or whether it will have a hole punch display. Will be interesting to read all the rumors about the 20th anniversary model.
