B&H Photo still has no idea when they'll get it . . .
Seeing everyone get their iMacs is so hard to watch. And I even went as far as calling the MacMall today to see how quickly I could get my system from them and my configuration is IN STOCK! I could have my iMac in 3-6 business days! Of course, I'd be paying $100 more total on the order but at least I know when it's coming (B&H waay discounted the AppleCare plan).
I'm just bitching here . . . I have a perfectly fine PC that works fine for me while I wait. I just need to stop reading these forums . . .
Anyone have any comforting thoughts for me while I nash my teeth together??

My order changed to preparing for shipment today. 8 days after l placed my order.
So now it has been shipped! It should arrive a couple of days before their initial estimate. I did get this before they were being pushed back to 2-3 weeks tho
I ordered my Apple iMAC/QC i5/2.9g/8GB/1TB FUSION - 21.5" from BandH Photo on 12/13/2012 and it has been backordered ever since. Anyone else not get theirs from BandH yet . . . starting to go crazy here . . .
I ordered from BH Photo on 12/15 No update but calling them today and will let you know what they said

Spoke to BH PHOTO today.
Told them that it has been reported in this site that other have received their 21.5, I7, 16GB, fusion drive when ordered directly from apple. Of course BH rep was sorry about that.
I informed him that others were getting a free SuperDrive directly from apple for their inconvenience of waiting. I asked him if a SuperDrive can be compt for customer satisfaction and he said that BH cannot do this for me.
He did say that a apple order was shipped to BH on 1/20 and he shows that that waiting order does include inventory to satisfy my requested build.
He thought that that order would be received by BH this week (1/27)
UPDATE: IF I CAN FIND A 21.5-I7-Fusion-16GB LATE 2012 ON LINE AND IN STOCK FROM A DIFFERENT RESELLER, I WILL CANCEL THE ORDER WITH BH PHOTO AND ORDER IT FROM (THEM)

I finally called MacMall to ask if they had the same configured iMac as I'd ordered from B&H Photo. They had it in stock! I then asked if they could meet the price I paid at B&H but they could not - they came within $80 of what I paid. The next day I called MacMall again and got a different salesperson to see if he coul meet B&H price. This time, he came within $20 of the B&H price, so I cancelled my B&H order and went with MacMall. My system is on it's way and it's slated to arrive on 1/30/2013.

I called MacMall, but they told me since I was in CA, I would have to pay the CA sales tax and that is why I ordered from BH Photo. But I'm I am activity looking on line for a replacement vendor for BH Photo.

Because just with the imac order alone, I am saving $177 in sales tax ordering from out of state.
Not to mention the reduced charges on Apple Care and the other software that was ordered.

In the UK the delivery times are 3-4 weeks. My order is expected 18-22Feb.
Cant wait. I will however, head down to the store over the weekend in the hope they have some models in.

Not exactly UK, but Canada and my 21.5" (2.9 i5/1TB Fusion/16GM RAM) was ordered Jan 27th and Fedex is telling me to expect delivery tomorrow (Feb 8).

That's great, I ordered 21.5 base model with trackpad on 9th Feb. The estimated delivery is between Mar 4-8, hopefully it ships sooner just like yours #
