Amazed to receive an email tonight telling me that my i7, 16gb RAM with fusion drive will be delivered on or before the 5th!!!

I ordered the imac i5 with fusion and 16Gb ram. My iMac is currently in Ireland and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. :):):) Btw, I used express shipping.

How do you access that screen?

Does anyone know where you can see the different carriers in different countries?

I live in Denmark and some of the carriers delivering in Denmark only have a few warehouses across the country. So if i'm not at home when they deliver, i might end up driving like a hundred kilometres.

And btw, do you think changing delivery adress will slow down delivery, when order is in processing items?

How do you access that screen?

I just clicked follow shipment on the apple page which provided a basic screen with some numbers including the UPS tracking number. Then i went to UPS website and entered my tracking number to be able to follow the shipment.

PS: my iMac is in Dublin now, probably getting ready to board a cargo plane to AMS but u never know with those packages, it might get flown all over Europe before coming to AMS :)

I'll vent: FedEx tracking showed that my 21.5'' had arrived at the local sort facility, less than 2 miles from my house. Then at 8:45am, they listed it as "not due for delivery". In other words, it's here but they decided not to put it on the truck because it was not officially due until tomorrow... With my luck they'll deliver it on their route back to the facility tomorrow right before 7:00pm...

Give us pics :) and how are those speakers?

Just love it so far, quite a boost from my old 13" MBP.

I really dont have any good reference for the built in speakers. I personally think they sound kind of good. Or at least loud enough. With that said i wouldt trust the build in speakers as the only audio out source.

Then again i havent heard the old imacs speakers so cant tell if these are better or worse.

Ordered 21.5":
  • 3.1GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
  • 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x8GB
  • 1TB Fusion Drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512MB GDDR5
  • Apple Mouse
  • Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (British) & User's Guide (English)

Expected December 13th to 17th. Clicked on 'Express Delivery'. In the UK.

Well, that's a bummer...looks like I'm gonna need to do my assignments on something else...

Got the same as you, high five!

Exactly the same here.

So it seems like some people had it in the "Preparing for shipment" stage for just a day or less. Mine is going on 24 hours at this point with an estimated delivery of 12/17 to 12/20. Hopefully it is sooner.

I think I read from another forum member that when they charge your card or withdraw from your checking account that it is basically ready to ship or is about to ship. Is this true? I hope it is faster than the estimated date considering the money was finally deducted from my checking account (and that I am super impatient haha)

My 21.5 was apparently shipped on Friday, but Fedex does not have any updates on their site regarding this. Anyone else in a similar situation? I also paid extra for the expedited shipping.

Im wondering how long mine will stay in "Preparing for Shipment" status. Its been 24 hours, I would assume a UPS or Fed-Ex label would have been printed at least by now. Not even sure if its Fed-Ex or UPS this time around.

I am in the same situation.

Ordered one a couple of hours after they were available and swapped out the mouse for the pad and it says Dec 27th!!! Lame-o

Looks like a few folks got lucky! Mine is still in preparing for shipping. I am still hoping for this week.

I know right, I have the same status.......Preparing for Shipment! I was hoping it would go out tonight for a Wednesday delivery :(

I have next day delivery, if it went out tonight it should be here tomorrow. Assuming it is in the USA.

But at this point I think preparing for shipping means it has shipped but not via ups / fed ex. I saw a guys shipping tracking and it seemed it originated right at a nearby hub. So they are probably coming from a central hub.
