Haircut DISASTER - I'm Bald *Crying*

Basically, I just dyed my hair.

It looked really nice, a bit long, but nice.

I whipped out the clippers, going good, looked brill.

Then my Dad came home, shoutin at me and swearin like he usually does - and I got distracted.

I had one piece left to cut, on my fringe.

I forgot to put the plastic blade on the clippers, and cut about 4" towards the back of my head, from the fringe.

Its now just stubble, and I'm in tears. I'm a 17 year old guy, and hair this short doesn't look good on me at all.

I really dunno what to do. I can't go to school for 2 weeks until its length grows to something other than stubble.

The problem I have now is I am presenting a fashion show in school on July 13th - I need hair by then! :(

Do I shave the rest of my head to match, fake-tan the stubbly-patch so it isn't so obvious, or 'carve' some kind of pattern and make a feature of the mistake into my head, seems quite popular nowadays.

Will it grow back? Its basically like taking a razor over your hair! :(

I'm really upset, someone, please be nice! :(
 
You're going to have to provide pics if you want us to give you good advice...
 
i shave my head all the time

a friend of mine, back in high school, shaved his head and got a saturday detention for being a skinhead, and he had never gotten in any sort of trouble before. go figure. ;)

My school has like 1,500+ students.. and they would rip the p*ss.

I'm well known, and like to take care of my appearance.

Kids will be kids I know, but in my school there are a lot of idiots, I guess like any school. I just cant be putting up with it right now.
 
Ah man, chill. Just shave it and join the club with the rest of us :)

(personal note: never, ever, try to cut your own hair unless you fully intend to shave it)

who the frack gives a care what others think of you?

I was in a school of 2000+ students and i didn't give a care hell i was the weird kid wearing anime Tshirts.

If I were you, I would put a #3 guard on the clippers, do your whole head the same length, and then get it trimmed when it grows out.

And yes, pictures.
 
Shave it so it looks the same all the way around... it's not like you did this in the dead of winter... it'll feel weird at first but heck.. maybe you'll grow to love it.

Your hair (and your pride/ego/whatever) will grow back... if this is the worst thing to happen to you all year then consider yourself lucky right?

Heck... at this point take bids to let somebody else finish the job then donate the money to charity or something... then your head will be a conversation piece.

You asked for advice on what to do, and it would be a lot easier if we had an idea of what the starting point is.

But serious. If you're that concerned about your appearance in terms of your hair, then get a wig. Not some stupid Halloween wig, but a real one.

Or, as others have mentioned, go with the short hair look for the summer - you may like it. It'll be worse if you make it look like you're trying to recover from some mistake rather than just going with it and creating a new look.

my situation is a bit similar, unfortunately i did it on purpose. i got a job at disneyland and i didn't fit "the look" with my terrific hair. so i tried once to cut it and keep some length, and they said it was STILL too long. so now i'm basically hairless and it's terribile. i'm taking down all the mirrors in my house. yeah um, i'm exaggerating, but still i look much better with longer hair. i'm a 17 y/o guy too.

if you can, i say try to disguise it, cutting should be a last option. in my opinion.

Of course it will grow back...eventually. Though I doubt it grow the length you want by July 13th.

Depending on where it is on your head you could wear a hat for a while or just laugh it off with people. Say you wrestled a bear and he took some of your scalp before you kicked its a$$.

Or just shave the rest of your head...it is summer, could feel a little cooler on hot days.

Is that what you use? I've been using a #2 - have even done a #1 before :eek:
