I think it looks superior and acts superior too. I dont notice any lag or anything, but I do then again have a pretty new iMac. It was only slow as it updated all my album artwork for the first time and it took like 5 min.

I am also enjoying it. I like the ipod summary thing but love the search through album covers.

i love it with two complaints....

1. the buttons (the view, add/shuffle/repeat/artwork etc) don't look right to me for some reason. they are lacking their 'polish' in my opinion.

2. in the source list - Library, Store, Playlists etc are not collapsible items.

Everything is A++

It's just that people don't usually post how awesome something is :p

The downloading artwork was iffy, but my connection sucks.

I don't like the new look much, but the new features are wonderful. I wish they would have stuck with aqua scrollbars, and I especially dislike the new icon. I hope the new iTunes look isn't what we're going to see in Leopard (though I fear it is).

The non-aqua scrollbars seriously wig me out, but other than that I'm really liking it. All-around improvement, great new features.

And who knows... if Apple goes "All Unified, All the Way" with Leopard, they're probably going to go with a different color scrollbar, since Aqua doesn't quite fit. So maybe this is a look at the future.

Is it just me, or does the new icon remind you of one of the really early ones?

As TUAW noted, it's pretty close to the icon for iTunes 2. Surprisingly close actually.

It gets an A+ from me as well. I have loved iTunes for a long time, but it has always been something that I've fought with to get things done. I think, finally, iTunes is fully working for me.

Nice job Apple.

I love it, but trying to put my movies into the library isn't working that well. I have them on a 250GB external drive, and when I import them, they're copied first to Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:Unknown Artist:Unknown Album:Movie Name.mp4, and then to Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:Movies:Movie Name.mp4

I've tried aliases in both of those paths in order to keep the movies on my, uh, movie drive... and it doesn't work. Anyone know how to fix this?

I absolutely love it.

Really love the carbon fibre 'theme'. I hope this is a taste of Leopard.

To quote a rather disgusting but un-named vendor of lard-on-a-bun's "hip" advertising firm, "I'm lovin' it"

It all works together so well, the colors, the textures...very Apple. I hope this is a preview for 10.5.

My only complaint is load times and the static nature of the UI now. I'd really like to be able to expand/contract any of the sidebar headings. Being that I have a lot of playlists, I get scrollbars in my source list, which I absolutely abhor.

Other than that... not bad. Not bad at all. I really like the new logo, too, not quite as much as iTunes 1's, but it's a lot more refined than iTunes 2's. This is probably one of the better iTunes releases, I think. About on par with 4.

I'm so happy to see the album view incorporated. The Cover Flow view is nice, but I'll probably stick to running iTunes + Full screened CoverFlow for that feature. Leopard, here we come. :D

Haven't had much of a chance to try everything new about it yet, but so far I think its great. Love the new iPod interface, and the new organization!

Same here! I just downloaded all the artwork.. though it's still missing a lot

I'm really liking iTunes 7. It has almost every feature that I was hoping for. And I have to admit I like the interface... so if this is a preview of what 10.5 is going to look like I'm stoked!!
