I think the reason I don't like the new scrollbars is because aqua just looks more realistic. Not that you'd ever see that in reality, but as far as light refraction goes and the detail, etc. The new scrollbars are matte and lifeless. I'm not using Windows!

And as far as CoverFlow not being smooth, get more RAM. I have a G4 with 1.25GB and its smooth as silk and screams when I scroll!

graphite sucks, bring back the blue. New iTunes icon made me barf. Restored the old one. I like the album view thingy, but.... can't use it when all music is only on iPod.

I have the maximum possible RAM you can have on a G4...2GB.

I'd like it back as well but fact is, this is the direction Apple is heading, meaning we can say goodbye to the blue capsules.

It is good, though the program itself is a little grey for my liking.

Its pure plastic, its like running linux/windows. Anyways, i'm gonna stop moaning now. iTunes 7: Great piece of software that needs some tweaking and could do with a better UI.

I LOVE IT TOO

I can't stop scrolling through album art...

It makes me want to delete anything I couldn't find album art for....lol

Ha I did that a little bit....

oooooOOOOooOOOoOooooOoooooooOOOoooo... pretty

I really like it, but I feel like Apple's trying to copy Windows Media Player 11 and it needs transparency, or the old scrollbars... or something. It's not really apple, more like apple wannabe.

I have some issues with the artwork, but other than that, it seems good. And I LIKE the new scrollbars. Aqua is a bit too shiny for my taste, and anything that makes it a bit more toned down is a big plus in my book

i don't like the new icon... that's about it, really. i like it. and coverflow is fun to play around with :D

Lovin it

Yeah, I like it a lot, I think it looks better, and I get no lag at all with it. I think it's perfectly fine. :)

Were they collapsable before?

Some things were collapsible -- like the Store could be collapsed, I am fairly sure, to hide the "Purchased" and "Shopping Cart." It does seem to me that now the left hand column makes poorer usage of space than it used to.

You can turn off those additional entries in the preferences, although it gives you a bit of a hassle about it.

Anyway, though, I love coverflow, and I can deal with this issue. I'm really happy with iTunes 7. :)

iPod management is very much improved in iTunes 7, with my favourite being that the playlist window can be expanded. Those tabs for the various media formats is also very cool, and all within iTunes, not modal windows, which were a pain to use.

Coverflow is my preferred method of browsing and is easier to locate albums than the old method. I still have to get used to the burn cd/browse button on the bottom right.

it's a brilliant upgrade. my one criticism is removal of the keyboard shortcut to the EQ. but i can survive. just about...

All the graphical readouts of what's going on with your iPod are great, and I love that they put the options related to the iPod in there too -- I never remember to go to prefs when my iPod is plugged in, and you were not allowed to change them preparatorily for the next sync. So this keeps me more mindful of how I have my iPod set up. :)

It has problems in the main reason to be, audio. I don't know if levels are being upped somewhere and I haven't discovered the switch yet, but many tracks I have now clip in iTunes. Could be my equipment - I have a lot of stuff down the audio chain, not all of which I fully understand  so who knows. I'm going to try and get to the bottom of this.

There's also an enormous memory footprint in both Mac and Windows versions. It's also more sluggish than 6.

I'm waiting for the Front Row Coverflow upgrade. That'll be awesome.

I love the gapless playback & coverflow integration! Don't mind the new color scheme - I think it looks good when you are in coverflow mode with the black background behind the albums.

The only thing I'm not happy with is the sluggish perfomance I've been getting on my Powebook. It's a final revision 15" with 1.5 GB RAM and I've been getting a lot of minor freezeups/beach balls which I've never experienced in iTunes ever before. I think the G4 may be choking on the size of my music library (~43 GB), but I'm hoping 7.1 will resolve some of these problems...
