The actor who plays the lead in 300 looks familiar. I've seen him in Beowulf and Grendel, (also the making of on CBC) and Dear Frankie. He's not very well known in North America, but it is sure to change. :)

I saw a trailer last year at the Comic-Con in San Diego. Frank Miller himself was there to present it and talk about the film.

The trailer they showed had nudity/dudity and very graphic violence (including a severed head spinning in the air in slow motion). It looked fantastic but I haven't seen any graphic clips of the movie since, I guess it was an exclusive look or something.

We're seeing this thing at the iMax. I can't think of any words to describe how amazing this movie is gonna be.

Good plot? Historically accurate? I don't care I'm going to see it for the non-stop action. Frank Miller ftw!

I would pay the over-the-top ticket prices at the Seattle Science Center if it comes to an imax near me.

I too don't care about any historical accuracy in a movie like this. Just get the major characters right and settings right and I'm happy as a clam.

Heck, the trailers is already way better than that Happyfeet movie. Which should not have won best animation in the brit awards :(

I'm really looking forward to this film. It looks like it's going to be a proper violent adult action film, filled with people being killed up close and personal with large swords.
The idea that 300 Spartans held back 1 million but died to do it, is very cool.
To die with honour in battle, is a lost art.

It does look good. Did you know it was all filmed indoors? They did that so they could get the look / lighting they wanted. Lots of CGI.

just as long as you dont look like one of the guys in the movie I'll fight ya. :)

Nah, not that jacked. If anything I'll smash a Dell over your head :) (Insult to injury)

Mickey Rourke (Marv) was absolutely filthy in Sin City.

Jessica Alba was stunning, as always. Sorry, I'm getting off topic here.

Did anyone else feel that Sin City was a hit a miss movie? It's either you like it or don't? I think 300 might get the same treatment.

It looks pretty, but it looks bloody terrible (if you know what I mean!)

And yes, Sin City was a crap film - all style and no substance.

ive been waiting so long for this. i think the trailers are the best ive ever seen but i havent seen that many. im gonna see it twice on opening weekend and buy the dvd.
