Shouldn't we have heard some rumours about parts and what not if we are about to see a release? We haven't had any supply chain leaks or anything.

It sounds good, but who has the news on the 7970m? Also, are all other base GPU's ready to go too?

On the recently held investors call in regards to AMD's first quarter financials, AMD CEO Rory Read announced that the company will launch a top to bottom line-up of mobile discrete parts based on the 28nm Southern Islands architecture. Surprisingly how it may sound, but the parts are launching next week.

Would be most excellent if true but more than likely Apple will keep us waiting another month or two at least on the next iMac and MBP refresh.

not possible

Not possible because intel's 3rd generation processor aka ivy bridge are not released yet. 4/22/12

If the new iMacs get released on the 24th is it possible that we will hear of some last minute leaks the day before?

Then learn to read. These CPUs are being released on 23 april (which is more or less today), and this is the reason why the OP actually started the thread.

Adobe Creative Suite 6 is being announced tomorrow.
On my way over to post this here but looks like MR beat me to it. As all of you probably know the vast majority of the design industry is mac based. Coincidence? Guess we will find out come Tuesday!

I would say coincidence, but it does fit in quite nicely actually!

You are unfortunately probably right.... one can only hope Adobe knows something and is trying to piggyback a major announcement from apple. *like new Mac Pros and iMacs capable of running every program in CS6 at the same time*

As if Apple would tell Adobe something like that

They wouldn't..... But maybe Adobe hacked into Cook's email so they could coordinate the release of their new software with the new Mac lineup coming out Tuesday. Thats probably what happened...

Ha sorry guys, I'm typing this as I work with CS4 on a 08 MBP. I've been holding out for CS6 and a new Mac Pro for months. Starting to loose my mind a little bit.

But a fresh install on any 2012 mac sounds pretty tasty right about now. And Quite convenient if I might add.

Something fishy is going on

A local dealer lists 4 ivy bridge notebooks and has them in stocks.

Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV7-7040ez
Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV6-7030ez

Acer Aspire V3-771G
Acer Aspire V3-571G

But HP for example makes a crazy sale till end of April and hasn't listed those models yet.

Looks like a May release for the official HP to me.

Apple may just make an announcement in their conference call after the earnings release. The reason why I say this is to restore confidence in the stock and take away any doubts.
If they don't then for sure you see one in the next 2 weeks
