Mostly music... I have a 768 SSD drive on my MacBook Pro that has about 100GB free and 90% of that is music... I could easily fill 256 with just music alone.

But I also know people like my wife who can fill a 128GB with 0 music, just pictures.

I'm still waiting on mine but I have big plans for the 256. We start off with everything on our previous phones and build from there. And I have so much music and movies that stay in the cloud because I don't have space on my 64. No problem now. And when it goes to 512 and up I will be ready for that as well!

The smartphone is the new computer. Do you have a 256 GB HD on your computer?
That's what I find amazing about the iPhone's max storage capacity these days, especially when Apple right now is selling MacBooks with half the storage.

Since most of you guys mentioned music as your dominant storage, I'm curious how many hours, or perhaps days, worth of music you could fit with 256GB. We've come long ways when the original iPod could hold "1,000 songs in your pocket."

Still have 202.65 remaining (346 videos, 6,715 photos, 169 apps) I knew fully well that I'd never fill it though. Knowing I will never have to decide if a sizable app is worth downloading is 100% worth it.

Well, I restored, since it is a new phone, so many things are right now just on iCloud etc. and I am slowly re-downloading more and more parts of my music library.
On my previous 128GB iPhone I had only 10gb left, so when I am getting back to the previous state, I will easily go over 128gb

Just exchanged my 128 GB 7 Plus to 256 GB 7 Plus and only used 12.63 GB and have 235.75 GB available to use.

I have 229GB free but I intended to get the 128GB honestly, plus none of my iTunes library is on here yet, but I don't know how large that is.

I have a 64 gb iPhone X, despite having a whole load of junk apps, videos and huge 'other storage', i have 5-6 gb free.
