139GB free on my X. I was using more, but deleted some stuff when moving from my 256GB 7+.

I don’t gave much of any netflix stuff on right now and I’ll probably add some random NFL games during the week(via NFL Gamepass) once the season starts to take up more space.

I have 223.69 GB available.

I still have no idea why I got so much storage besides that I wanted the jet black iPhone 7 Plus. It took me until December to find one at T-Mobile in my area. So I just went for it...

204GB left. I guess this exercise showed me I don't need more. I don't skimp on downloads either so I guess my data needs at this level is just fine. 512gb would be absolutely unnecessary for me.

146 of 256GB used.

Mainly due to music - it honestly is so nice to have all of my collection on my phone... up until this phone I was still using an iPod classic for my music collection.

I keep my photos and messages on the cloud, otherwise those would be taking up a few GBs as well. And I have a bunch of apps I’ve downloaded and never used... definitely need to cull those too.

I cannot imagine how one would fill up 256GB worth of content on an iPhone, so for those with 256GB iPhones, how have you guys been utilizing your new gigabyte estate?

I've actually filled it due to a photos library that goes back a decade and an Adobe app that decided it needed its own copy of the whole thing. I tried to back up and restore the phone and it said there wasn't room for my music.

Right now I've got 103GB free, but I haven't loaded a lot of maps for navigation apps since I got my replacement phone. (The last one kept having kernel panics.) If you store a lot of map data for offline use, that eats up memory fast. Every time they've doubled the memory I've upgraded and I've found a way to fill it with useful data, or at least to exceed the memory of my previous phone.

38.98 GB available on my 256GB 8 Plus.

What's a fair price for my 256GB 7 Plus?

Didn’t really want the 256gb. I have 202 gb left. I plan on keeping this phone for 2 years (or hand it down to my wife). She has 128gb iPhone 7 Plus. So I have to take future app sizes (fornite alone is a whopping 3gb app)

My 64gb 8 Plus has around 15-20gb left I pretty good at managing storage. Had the 64gb 6 and 6s Plus. Always had 25-30gb left.

But we all know apps are increasing in size.

And apple knows the game as well. We all want the 128gb sweet spot and apple wont offer that option cause $150 to upgrade from 64 to 256gb probably cost apple less than $40-50 max. So easy $100 plus profit for apple.

I have more than 256GB if I put on the music on my phone I want. Much more, so I'll be getting the 512GB. I have tons of classical music, and multiple recordings of the same work, so it will be nice to pack on everything I want. But, I know I'm probably in small company here, but you asked.

Well, since I just migrated to a 256 (max) yesterday from a 64 (6), I have only used about ... wait for it ... 64 gig. That’ll change tho once i take the time to sync over my music and photos. I really don’t need 256 but apple, being the money making geniuses they are, didn’t make a 128 max and I took the $150 bait.

Went from 256 back to 64 using Apple Music streaming instead of downloading and iCloud Photos with full resolution photos just in the cloud.
108GB on the 256GB are now whooping 13,3GB :D .

Issue is u are still paying for iCloud photos. Apple still making money off you.

I refuse to pay for the iCloud crap. I manually sync my photos to computers once in a while. Use google photos for everything else (yeah i know google photos isn’t full resolution) but does it really matter to 99% of us? Probably not.

Apple in business of making money off us regardless
